I don't watch IAC nowadays, but even when I did I always thought it felt flat in comparison. It's usually quite boring imo, apart from some of the trials and Ant and Dec.

I stopped watching because I started to disagree with tasks involving live creatures (I never used to think about it until recent years), and I certainly don't miss it.

Because it's on ITV. Having stuff like Corrie pulling 9m as a lead in.. compared to Ch5 getting a lead in of around 500k!

The last series was dull, I can't believe it won the NTAs over CBB... actually I can, because it gets like 6m more viewers! There were only two people I liked on IAC this year (Jake and Foggy) and they ended up being Top 2. But had IAC been on Channel 5, it'd be getting less than CBB is getting. You can't compare the two quality wise. IAC was like BB4 in comparison to what CBB is like at the moment.

mrmattybeck1 28-01-2015 03:35 PM

I'm a celebrity I've never liked as much as big brother myself mainly watch for ant and dec

daniel-lewis-1985 28-01-2015 04:49 PM

I think if CBB was on ITV it would certainly be getting 5 million+

Jake. 28-01-2015 04:57 PM

That 3.7 million rating still amazes me though... Like, for a show which was pronounced dead, it's fantastic.

Samm 28-01-2015 06:00 PM

IAC hasn't been good since 2010, I am confused as to why 2013's series was the highest rated ever :umm2:

Its down to one thing and one thing only.....Ant and Dec.....they make the show. Emma is great at times but her giggly ways and blatant bias is killing her style and Rylan is just pure nonsense. I said it before and will say it again, get a decent presenter for Bots and censor Emma, and we have a decent show to look at. BB needs to stop meddling and treating the voters like idiots and that will boost the ratings.

Everyone says BB is dead....no it isn't....other countries are steaming ahead and the one thing they all have is a production team that think about tasks and fun. BB Uk are all about sex and confrontation which get boring after a while.

Jake. 29-01-2015 09:37 AM

The drama worked... 2.90 last night (inc +1)

Vanessa 29-01-2015 09:39 AM

If Perez goes the drama goes and so do the high viewing figures. We will be back at 2 m at best.

No we won't, the series is sticking to 2.5 (give or take)

As a fan of the show I agree that 2.9 mil is great but its nowhere near IAC. The difference isn't in the shows contents as they are similar, the difference is that the shows producers target different demographic groups. IAC is for the mainstream and these idiots on BB are aiming the show at the Chavvy side of our society.

when there are no arguments the ratings always go down.

No matter where Channel 5 aimed it's demographic at, CBB is never going to get 10 million viewers. Never has (apart from Jade Goody's eviction during the whole racism scandal which got 8m+). IAC has always attracted higher ratings, simply because it's on ITV.

No the difference is its on Channel 5 and IAC is on ITV its that simple. IAC is far worse production wise if you ask me and only comes across as polished and well put together because of Ant and Dec. They cast their celebs terribly, the trials include eating live animals and cock is not only morally wrong and cruel but somehow the stuck up viewers of ITV find it entertaining yet slam BB as disgusting and for low lives? They basically ripped off BB as they needed their own reality show back in 2002 when BB was at the height of its fame. All they did was rename their diary room, change their trials to something disgusting and even had live feed back in the day.

What bugs me is when fans of the show are even calling it chavvy....That baffles me. Its like the fans watch but they bash it continuously and mock it for being trash then what does that make them?

Anyway 2.9 and a 13% share for last night is brilliant and after the drama of last night I wouldn't be surprised if it hit 3 million with the eviction and more fallout that continued yesterday on tonights highlights. The only problem I have with tonights eviction is its a big one but only on for 60 minutes!!!! Imagine if Perez is evicted im sorry but all hes going to get is a 10 minute interview? We seriously need a good 20 minutes atleast!

I thought that the main highlights would be stuck around 2.6 for the rest of the show but it continues to surprise.

Well done Channel 5 :)

Luke_Thomas_Patton 29-01-2015 10:01 AM

In conclusion, this series' lowest rated episode is currently at around 2.65m (official), it's going nowhere.

*mazedsalv** 29-01-2015 10:06 AM

Fantastic!!

And agree Luke, with a series low of 2.65m in officials, they'd be crazy not to renew it. I do think they should pull the summer series as it doesn't do anything. Just concentrate on Winter CBB and Summer BB. They will save so much money, and CBB summer never does as well, it gets like 700k lower than usual generally, this year it CBB15 is currently 1.1m up on CBB14.

Luke_Thomas_Patton 29-01-2015 10:11 AM

It's looking like 17 out of 22 episodes will officially rate above 3.0m which is phenomenal.

thom_bombadil 29-01-2015 10:32 AM

I'm a Celebrity is 100% a BB rip-off. A group of people forced to live together who perform tasks and are eliminated by the public one-by-one. They even have a diary-room style hut. The only difference is that it's set in the jungle.

Big Brother is the original, the ultimate and most real reality TV that we have. IAC is awful, IMO. why people have switched off over the years, whilst that show maintains strong viewing figures, is beyond me.

I do have qualms with the BB producer's decisions in recent years, but I will always love it.

Oh, and yes, drop the summer CBB. It's RUINS the civilian series. Channel 5 will bleed BB dry if not careful.
