She can bloody dance that's for sure.

Jase. 28-11-2020 07:56 PM

Clara was super disappointing :/

I could watch Bill dance all day, he does make me smile

Think it'll be Clara vs. Ranvir or Jamie with Clara going.

rionablue 28-11-2020 08:23 PM

If Maisie is in the bottom two again I will cry. And even though there is a spoiler alert I wish people wouldnt be putting a post up bout the dance off before we get to see it Sunday nights as I can guess by peoples comments on other posts who might be in it :(

Black Dagger 28-11-2020 08:47 PM

Actually embarrassed that they gave HRVY a 30 for that.

This show has gone to the dogs.

Black Dagger 28-11-2020 08:47 PM

And Clara was dreadful but I gave her all 3 votes when they're ridiculously overmarking JJ

I agree they're overmarking JJ and the VT went full on for sympathy.
There's a different gimmick every week to try and get him through.

Beso 28-11-2020 09:02 PM

It was a kilt fgs...

Would you moan about a turban ?

Denver 28-11-2020 09:10 PM

Tonight will show how strong Clara public vote actually is as we know she has been doing well in the vote but with them going full throttle on Sympathy for JJ and Bill the fan favourite that doesn't leave much options for her, she has to beat Jamie in the vote by a couple of spots to join Maisie in the B2

Vanessa 28-11-2020 09:15 PM

Maise won't be in the bottom two.
That quickstep was insane!

The public hate her and she is clearly bottom of the voting

This week feels different.
Like a turning point.
I thought she was brilliant.

I ran through some scenarios earlier and got these;

Spoiler:

HRVY - 7 + 6 - 13
Bill - 4 + 7 - 11
Clara - 3 + 5 - 8
Jamie - 4 + 4 - 8
JJ - 5 + 3 - 8
Maisie - 6 + 1 - 7
Ranvir - 4 + 2 - 6

OR

HRVY - 7 + 6 - 13
Bill - 4 + 7 - 11
JJ - 5 + 4 - 9
Clara - 3 + 5 - 8
Ranvir - 4 + 3 - 7
Maisie - 6 + 1 - 7
Jamie - 4 + 2 - 6

That’s me guessing she’s 3rd in the voting, it seems about right tbh. Although if she was 4th it wouldn’t land her in the bottom in either scenario as I believe leaderboard ties are broken by votes rather than by judges scores. As shown below;

Spoiler:

HRVY - 7 + 6 - 13
Bill - 4 + 7 - 11
Jamie - 4 + 5 - 9
JJ - 5 + 3 - 8
Clara - 3 + 4 - 7
Maisie - 6 + 1 - 7
Ranvir - 4 + 2 - 6

OR

HRVY - 7 + 6 - 13
Bill - 4 + 7 - 11
JJ - 5 + 5 - 10
Clara - 3 + 4 - 7
Ranvir - 4 + 3 - 7
Maisie - 6 + 1 - 7
Jamie - 4 + 2 - 6

Basically she’s in danger if she’s 5th in voting or if Maisie suddenly gets a rebound.

Denver 28-11-2020 09:39 PM

I just think the music was wag to quick for her

Nicky91 29-11-2020 07:36 AM

my opinions + scores on last night

Clara & Aljaz: umm it wasn't just the beginning which was a miss, she was flat-footed, not in sync with Aljaz either few times, even though the music was great for Jive, and i had also thought she would do better, a shame a huge shame 4

Jamie & Karen: loads of good tango content, his serious face was also decent throughout, i liked the concept with the chesspieces too, and yes i agree with others Jamie has got such a wonderful personality 7

HRVY & Janette: FAB-U-LOUS, i first had doubts if street & contemporary would match well, but this was a delight to watch, fab music choice too (luv coldplay myself) also one moment wasn't in sync however thx to janette's contemporary twist that isn't necessary compared to Jamie's or Bill's which were more traditional street with the sync poppin, lockin action perfection 10

Ranvir & Giovanni: DULL DULL DULL, i actually hate her top line frame, her neck is at a too unnatural position, storytelling is getting very one trick pony for me too, this felt like i was rewatching her movie week foxtrot all over again, nothing new 5

Bill & Oti: those are the neatest, cleanest kicks and flicks i've ever seen on the show, also love his commitment to the dances each week, loved the VT, history of the Jive, were there mistakes, maybe one, but it was also a very complicated routine so i forgive him for that 9

JJ & Amy: i had goosebumps  from begin to end JJ looked very smooth in his spins, performance was overall very charming i agree with Craig, i also saw the fleckrl and i loved it :clap1: :clap1: his best performance to date 9

Maisie & Gorka: i must say credits to Maisie still being able to smile and deliver yet another stunning routine despite 2 dance offs, now about the performance, this was nice and quirky yes, but i have to compare against Claudia & AJ quickstep whom also danced to this song, Claudia did it better but this was good either 8

Nicky91 29-11-2020 07:44 AM

do think JJ is able to pull off a good enchanting, charming, emotional rumba

Vanessa 29-11-2020 09:15 AM

Maise should have got 30.
It was perfect!

My rankings of this weeks dancing.

1. Maisie & Gorka - Quickstep - Surely even her most hardened detractors can't deny that she did well last night.
2. HRVY & Janette - Street - Despite it not really being a Street dance and being slightly overscored this week, I'd still say that HRVY danced really well, and if it was a Contemporary dance that it was categorized under I'd feel more happy to not feel like I'm being lied to about what dance it was. However it was a strong performance overall and I did like the song choice.
3. Bill & Oti - Jive
4. Jamie & Karen - Tango
5. Ranvir & Giovanni - American Smooth
6. JJ & Amy - Viennese Waltz
7. Clara & Aljaz - The production clearly didn't like Clara's popularity after the Charleston did they?:joker:

I'm still hoping for a JJ and Ranvir bottom two this week, but I expect that the bottom two will be a mix of Jamie, Maisie, or Clara as the public do tend to like beige quite a lot on Reality TV imo.

I'm sure that JJ and Ranvir are nice people, but they're not really ever doing exciting dances imo.

Clara has been a hit and miss her entire journey

her week 1 cha cha, and the charleston were good

but her viennese waltz was too aggressive, her samba was a flop, and this Jive was a major disappointment where we all wanted her to rise back up, that tina turner song is a good song for Jive, but somehow when it comes to too technically difficult dances (jive, samba) she shows she isn't a good dancer at all

i even prefer Scott Mills in terms of who has been best radio dj on strictly so far, his crab is still so iconic

Hrvy and Jeanette dance was a mix of different styles.
There was contemporary and also street commercial.

Vanessa 29-11-2020 06:06 PM

Brilliant show last night. I enjoyed all the dances, even Jamie who I find very irritating.
JJ is being pushed so much it puts me off him.
Hrvy and Maise both absolutely smashed it.
Craig : it's the goat :joker:
Anton booing Craig

Tbf it was a strong dance, it just shocked me that it was meant to be a Street dance.

It wasn't street in my opinion and if it was meant to be Bill and Jamie did it better imo

At the beginning Hrvy wanted to do contemporary, but the decided against it
But Lucas McFarlane choreographed the dance and he's well known contemporary dancer.
