i've never seen anything like it before. The level of incompetence being shown by the tories is just unthinkable. They have no messaging that passes even basic scrutiny. I've heard that tory mp's are basically going it alone now and trying with desperation to save their own seats.
It's just an absolute mess  if labour have a huge majority, then labour will become their own opposition. That's just how it works, and labour are exactly the party to be their own opposition |
…I guess because it’s been such a mess of a leadership for such a long, long time…to have had such a country leadership that has governed for their own self serving interests with disregard and contempt to the interests of the people…and for so long …?…is a very rare thing also…what messages to they have to give that would have any credibility…?…when they’ve had the privilege of being able to show us their ‘visions’ but have failed in that completely…there are no words that will change that, there is nothing for them to say and Rishi Sunak is very good in the role of being pointless…

Someone also pointed out that Cameron filled in for Sunak at the D Day event. He was previously PM for 5+ years and had attended the event in the past. Why didn't he say to Sunak, are you sure you want to disappear? Something isn't right there

Here's my verdict on the 'debate' last night on Sky News.
I thought Starmer didn't answer one direct question. He was basically reciting the script he had written probably 12 hours previously.:nono: Sunak looked a beaten man. His deflated performance bored me and I switched off the TV about 20 minutes into his stint. All in all, no one 'won' the debate. |
Rishi Sunak aide placed bet on election date days before announcement…

At this point, i'm actually coming round to the idea that a significant number of tories within the party wanted Sunak to lose and have taken action to make it happen |

The other parties are just the same though .. Just look at all the promises being made over the last few days .. they’ve all looked at the polls indicating the general public’s main areas of concern wether it be the NHS , the police , immigration , depleted armed forces or even damn pot-holes . They choose one , say they’re gonna sort the problem out .. then when they get into power (whoever it is ) they will do diddly squat squared Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
Some people are now projecting that the tories will get less than 70 seats. It could be the biggest political realignment in our history

“I put a flutter on the general election some weeks ago. This has resulted in some routine
inquiries and I confirm I will fully cooperate with these. “I don’t want it to be a distraction from the campaign, I should have thought how it looks.” That was The Prime Minister's closest aide  |

The penny is finally beginning to drop on mass migration. The Conservatives and Labour
have failed us all. 48 second clip here from Nigel speaking to Nick on LBC earlier: https://x.com/Nigel_Farage/status/1801172576997159312 |
farage won't do anything at this election, the most he will get is 1 seat. All he is doing is damaging the tories chances and giving more power to the left of british politics. I think that tells everyone what farage is all about

Farage willing to lead merged Conservative-Reform party after election
Reform leader says the ‘Tories may well be dead’ and only he can lead a centre-Right party and provide opposition to a Labour government Asked if he could rule out one day leading the Conservative Party, Mr Farage told LBC this morning: “I think something new is going to emerge on the centre Right, I don’t know what it is called. “But do I think I am capable of leading a national opposition to a Labour Party with a big majority where I can stand up and hold them to account on issues? Yes.” Asked if he would be happy to lead a merged party, he replied: “Yes.” He added: “They [the Tories] may be dead. They may well be dead. This may well be the end of their journey. I would be prepared to lead the centre Right in this country.” https://www.ft.com/__origami/service...idth=700&dpr=1 |
