I wonder if BBC1+1 will have an affect on the ratings?

Please keep posting these ratings, I love reading them :D

Gstar 22-10-2013 10:03 AM

Eastenders gets quite a lot in the officials btw, it's picking up but very slowly. About a week ago it actually hit the 8m mark for the first time in ages

EastEnders needs to step its weave up. Last time it was really good was 2009

Definitely agree that they really need to up their game. Up until recently, EastEnders has always been well ahead of ED. Says it all.

What has even happened in 2013.. It literally won't be remembered for anything

Gstar 22-10-2013 10:16 AM

It has been good this year and I'm glad that they fired the irrelevants

Laurens drinking storyline
Tanya leaving
Alfie and Kat breaking up
Ronnie coming out of jail
Zainab leaving
Liam getting stabbed
Alice, Michael and Janine which will intensify in the next few weeks
Dexter kidney transplant
Cindy stealing Phils 10grand
Phil being in his 1000th car crash
Lola's baby drama
Sharon and her son of satan

Redway 22-10-2013 10:29 AM

All those stories bar one or two have been dire and only passable as filler. I'm not Santer's biggest fan but he did manage to get people talking about the show and there were several solid stories a year. I'm yet to hear people in Iceland talking about Kat and Alfie's latest relationship woes or Lauren's badly acted alcoholism story.

2013 gas been the worst year in the show's history. Nothing of note has actually happened.

Gstar 22-10-2013 11:26 AM

omg I have to disagree, last year was worse! I've enjoyed it this year, are you sure you've been watching the same show as me? lol

P.s. Who's Santer?

Redway 22-10-2013 01:52 PM

Santer was in charge of EE between 2007 and mid 2010-ish.

Gstar 22-10-2013 03:00 PM

Ohh, but haven't they recently got a new writer/director? The one who axed like 5 people

They've had three (Bryan Kirkwood, mid-2012 - 2012, Lorraine Newman, mid-2012 to '13 and the newest one, Dominic Treadwill-Collins, whose work is yet to be screened).
