It was a good episode, a little disjointed in parts but good.

Serving the queen no less :worship:

Shaun 01-04-2013 09:15 PM

not sure where you got she owned the first episode from Smithy :suspect: she was in the last ten minutes if that. Most of it was Cersei tbh.

I'm at the stage now where I don't really care what happens in the North  above the wall anyway. the southern politics (and yes daenerys and her dragons) are far more interesting.

Smithy 01-04-2013 09:17 PM

I didn't say she owned it, just that she was in it more than normal  in the first season/half of the second season, it was like one scene an episode

more white walkers pls

GypsyGoth 01-04-2013 10:33 PM

Just finished the ep. I loved the giant near the start, he looked pretty real. The ep was good throughout but I wanted way more time spent with each story.

Locke. 01-04-2013 10:39 PM

Felt like they tried to fit in too many of the characters. The Davos/Stannis, Daenerys, Tyrion/Cersei/Margaery stuff was all fine but the Robb and Jon parts felt like they either needed an extra scene or two added or should have been moved to the next episode

GypsyGoth 01-04-2013 10:45 PM

:worship:

What book are you up to?

Locke. 01-04-2013 10:48 PM

I have finished all of the released ones I'm just waiting until 2028 for the author to release the next one

GypsyGoth 01-04-2013 10:49 PM

I think I will start them after this season of the tv series ends.

-avoids reading any posts-

Just finished season 1. I love it. Really intrigued how fantasy it gets with how it ends. Was surprised with how much it was lacking in the fantasy-side of things in the first season, not that it took away from it.

Josy 01-04-2013 11:55 PM

You have a lot to look forward to.

Dunno if I should watch online or wait a couple of days to get the season 2 DVDs. Impatient.

Shaun 02-04-2013 05:59 PM

season 2 finale was easily the best television episode of 2012

Locke. 02-04-2013 06:00 PM

With more than 4.2 million downloads per episode, Game of Thrones was the most pirated television show of 2012. However, less than 24 hours after the HBO epic fantasy show’s third season premiere, TorrentFreak reported the episode had already been downloaded more than a million times, with one torrent having more than 160,000 simultaneous connections. No torrent has had that many connections since September 23rd, 2008, when more than 144,000 people downloaded the third season premiere of Heroes at once.

TorrentFreak also broke down the locations of the pirates, finding that Australia had the highest piracy rate while London had the highest concentration of pirates amongst major cities. Despite the massive amounts of downloads, the television premiere saw 6.7 million US viewers, despite airing against The Walking Dead’s season finale.
amazing.
