BB beat TOWIE

im not suprised it was the worst towie season finale yet!

jackc1806 11-07-2013 10:57 AM

Should be like 1.9million officially, this series is doing pretty good! Hopefully the eviction rates well.

22:00 - Secrets of the Pickpockets: 951k (5.7%) / 1.07m (7.0%)

Beat C4 by 2% and 400000 viewers :D

Glad how 5 keep on thrashing 4 now, and even just when BB is on. You really have to wonder whether 4 regret it or not.

Jay Hunt the C4 controller hates BB. The problem with C4 is they keep producing ****e shows and they don't have a big show like BB that brings in viewers and introduces viewers to their content. I really think C4 need a big change or they will be in terminal decline, they are being thrashed every night even 24 hours in A+E is getting much less viewers that it used to.

jackc1806 11-07-2013 11:12 AM

I think C5 is a much better channel now. I actually enjoy quite a lot of their stuff.

Jake. 11-07-2013 11:13 AM

Yeah I can't remember the last time I actually watched a show on 4 after 7PM

The_Big_Send_Off 11-07-2013 11:20 AM

true, c5 has turned into a way better channel since bb, and c4 has been relieing on there shows like big fat gypsy wedding etc...

what do you think bb would getting if it was still on C4? i recon around 2m?

I think, had it of been done properly (one CBB a year in the winter, proper promotion and what not) BB would be averaging the same as BB10

It depends, C4 as a channel have lower figures now because BB isn't there anymore. It was in natural decline and if you take into account BB10 got 2.5m, 2m could be about right.

Jake. 11-07-2013 11:26 AM

And if 4 hadn't of cancelled it and just left it to rest for a few years, it could have been averaging a few million in a couple of years time

You know how channel 5 keep choke slamming channel 4?
Do they both notice these things? Or are we the only Ones who does.

They both will be, C4 will be ****ting themselves but Jay Hunt is too stubborn to act/ doesn't have a decent plan to get them healthy again. Ben Frow is very good at his job, C5 will only grow with plans to produce more homegrown content, reducing and shifting imports to 10pm. I fully expect BB to be in his plans.

SSL2012 11-07-2013 11:44 AM

BB got an 8% share of the audience, that's looking pretty healthy to be fair.

Towie looks to be running out of steam.

The_Big_Send_Off 11-07-2013 12:14 PM

TOWIE is on its way out... only way that show would be saved is if they brougt back the originals..

big brother seems to be clawing its way back.. every series is gaining more viewers surely that a good thing

JohnnyBB 11-07-2013 12:17 PM

if channel 4 bought the rights to the glass house, it would smash bb raitngs, big time.

Not only that, the glass house had such big controversy over its similarities to BB I doubt 4 would even go there.

It does not get good ratings in the US so It won't get good ratings over here

1.45m for a Wednesday. Pretty sure that makes it the highest rated Wednesday show. With the least competition of the week, I am sure tonight could climb a tiny bit.

The thing is they seem to be matching last years overnights so far but the time shifts aren't that great.

Its probs gonna average 1.6.

Cant see how people are thinking its gonna be a 2 million average.

Jake. 12-07-2013 10:51 AM

Big Brother got just over 1.50 million inc +1:

Channel 5's Extraordinary People secured 662k (3.5%) at 8pm (97k/0.6%), followed by the latest Big Brother with 1.45m (8.8%) at 10pm (69k/0.8%).

Jake. 12-07-2013 11:39 AM
