Oh god im dreading this rating!
World cup got 80%? Its insane. Can we all email channel 5 and Ben Frow to get BB shown at 9pm, why the **** are Channel 5 putting it on at 10 up against the world cup, are they idiots? |
I'm guessing about 300k. 20 percent needing to be shared throughout all the other channels. Urgh. :(

If it does go low then it's nothing to worry about since it was against a big football game

The official ratings for Saturday's haven't been released yet, but even though BB got something like 990,000 viewers, its still good to bare in mind the fact that Channel 5's average number of viewers for friday was at 680,000. So in my opinion, yes, those ratings were bad, but it's well above the channel average for the day and was still it's most top rated show.. so again, to bare in mind for todays ratings which come out in a few hours or so, they may be shockingly low, but they're likely to be double the rest of Channel 5 programming, just as it tends to be when it hits its big ratings! Be Positive!! :cheer2:
|
It's also worth mentioning that Friday's BB beat BBC Two! Still 4th in the time slot, despite 'bad' ratings.
|
Does anyone know what it got for Saturday?
|
Channel 5's Big Brother: Power Trip took 782k (4%), with 336k (1.7%) sticking around for Bit on the Side.
Not including Channel 5+1. |

Mrmattybeck1 - it won't get cancelled for one night of terrrible ratings, granted it's the worse in a while, but what do you expect when 80% of those watching tv were turned to the football, it was till C5s most watched show of the day, which is respectable, and like I always say, it's 0.1% up on the channel average. It's not a lot, but it's not terrible either, we should worry when it's below the average share! plus I'm sure that everyone's aware of the strong competition, hopefully ratings will improve tonight, I imagine many sad England fans will turn away for the next few matches in spite of being 'sore losers'!

If it's above the channels annual share (3.9%) it still makes a profit as it increases shares and viewing figures, increasing advertisement profit, regardless of how small it's better to make money than lose it! Plus there were only 20% of other viewing and when you consider that around 40% is typically for multichannels, and 60% for the main 5, although 4% of the 20% yesterday sounds slim, that's pretty good. That's like 1/5 of the other available audience which is typical of higher rated BB shows! It's fine! Trust me!
