I said at the start that a Djokovic win was the best thing since Alf signing up to Tibb. You should have bet big. I doubled him with Australia to win the rugby league World Cup later this year. I sense a good Christmas.

I really like Djokovic as a Tennis player (even if he can be silly at times) but this Wimbledon has to be the most boring Wimbledon that I've ever seen, literally only two players were able to even take a set off Djokovic this entire tournament.
Obviously that isn't Djokovic's fault, but the seeding system needs to be fixed imo as the number one Seed has it too easy to win Wimbledon imo, Djokovic probably would've still won anyway (which I personally don't mind) but at least give him a bit of a challenge. |

I do think he’s rather lucky to be the ONLY outstanding player still genuinely competitive - he could easily go onto to win 30+ majors now . Federer and Nadal earned their majors playing against each other plus Andy Murray plus Djokovic- all at the peak of their abilities Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Ivo Karlovic might not retire after US Open, apparently he could change his mind on that |
Simona Halep booked her first win again since May 2nd
in first round of Cincinnati, with 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 over polish Magda Linette Halep who had dropped down to 13th place due to having had to withdraw from several tournaments because of calf injury struggled against Linette who put up a good fight against her, after a rain break the polish got the second set, but Halep finished off the match quite easily in the third set |

Come on em

That's one of the best performances I've seen bearing in mind everything
We are very lucky to have this emerging new star :flutter: |
She has achieved more in one tournament at 18 than any Brotish female in 40 or so years and that itself is an achievement
|
She's only made the semi-final and it's one of the made headlines on the 10 o click news.
Something tells me she's getting a popularity push. |
What channel is showing the tennis ??

The object is to win the tournament, when she does that, put her on the news. Don't think I've ever seen a great rugby league achievement being a main headline on the news. The participation trophy generation. She's won nothing yet, come back when she does. |
I agree with Alf. Most hadn't heard of her a few months ago now its 'C'mon Emma'.

Raducana makes history by becoming the youngest ever grand slam finalist and first qualifier to reach the final, she will be the favourite in the final against her opponent who is also unseeded
|
I can't wait for the women's final. It should be a good one and completely unexpected.
I'm not too interested in Djokovic winning in three sets against Medvedev. It's getting boring at this point (though I am not taking away any of his talent to produce an excellent tennis and putting the bar so very high) |

I saw the first set LIVE but then couldn’t stay awake any longer -but she was playing marvellously well . I will certainly be watching the whole of the final as that should be absolutely spectacular! The other youngster has had a much harder run to the final ... beating the world number 2 , 3 and 5 plus a former world number one . I have zero idea who will win . yes Zizu, Leylah is indeed very talented, showed her determination and fighter spirit in many games this tournament already
Emma is good, but this final will be soooo close, and it will come down to the one who has more focus right until the end of the match so i think Leylah will win, in tight 3 sets |
Wow !!
