The Dr Legg story is John's so I'm assuming he planned their return in advance of Kate starting.

Whereas timing wise the Ahmed's sisters arriving tonight probably marks a direct end and start of the eras in the same episode.

Not sure whether she'll be credited though...

I guess it's like Kirkwood planning Sharon's return but she actually returned in Newman's era.
