I was talking to a woman today and she advised me to 'put a jumper on in the house if you're cold...'

To save putting the heating on.

Takes more than one jumper. I was a bit cold at 5pm, so put two jumpers on. It was still cold so put another two jumpers on.

A bit tight :D but I am not proud. I'm now warm as toast. :D

Heating is off. ;)

if you go out to the pub, order a coke and you can stay there all day/evening, no jumpers required :smug:

The cost of fuel will do more for saving the planet than anything else, job done

we all need to use twice as much deodorant from taking fewer showers so i'm not so sure about that

I've just had the lowest gas and electricity bill I've had for over 5 years :umm2:.

£75, or £141 pre-£66 discount. Now £75 is the lowest bill I've had since I started paying bills at all ... but even £141 is less than I've paid for 5+ years. My direct debit was £155 when I was on a fixed tariff at 18p/kwh electricity last year.

All the readings are definitely correct .

bots 04-11-2022 10:33 AM

ive dropped my electricity usage by 7% over the last month, and i dont know what i did differently

I seem to have dropped mine by nearly half by only running the airer over night instead of all day, and not turning on the shower while I poop in the morning.

:umm2:...

50%...

bots 04-11-2022 10:49 AM

that must be a hell of a poop

Well it was just the routine... I'd head on into the bathroom, pop the shower on to warm up, take my seat... but then you know... you need a little entertainment while you poop... so maybe you watch a little TikTok... maybe 5... maybe you get invested in a podcast... maybe 10 minutes pass... maybe 20... maybe sometimes 45...

The energy money has been put into my energy account - not my bank account.

So far I've had £120.00 give or take a few quid. That's in two months. October and November.

Depends on the supplier where the payment goes

Yes we have had the gas on more just lately .

Just thought it was a funny coincidence to get a credit through then have to play the same amount EXTRA the following month

We don’t get ‘bills’ nowadays just the occasional email .. EDF energy

Just got my monthly electric bill. I don't use gas. Just electric.

So this covers October but the bill produced today.

Looks like my savings on electric use is paying off.

I've already switched the freezer off. That's £15.oo per month saved. Don't need that when I have a freeezer compartment in my fridge. ;)

And no heating used. Bill was just £36.36. :D

Paid for by the government. :D

ADDED INFO': I don't use electric light bulbs either. I have these rechargeable USB lights that only come on when you enter the room. Go off when you go out. :D
