It’s becoming an actual joke at this point, real people and real problems no longer exist because one person died, this royal cult is way too much

Which means if you get your benefit paid into your bank account on Monday, you'll get in this coming Friday instead.

When I used to get JSA about 10 years ago, it was paid the Friday before a bank holiday. But it could have changed, yes.

Is it though? Supermarkets will be closed as well, they will be open the day before and day after, I think people get food for a few days when they visit a food bank, they don’t visit daily

Liam- 13-09-2022 01:18 PM

Yes, it is ridiculous to close down essential services in order to force people into a period of mourning

I just found out aswell ,that it's up to these organisations if they stay open or not . I know doctors will probably be closed . But I think some other places might decide to stay open .. so maybe some food banks will be open still.

Yes Chuck them on the Bus.

President Biden Not going on any bus.

Cherie 13-09-2022 01:46 PM

We already have significantly less bank holidays than our Neigbours, 3 per annum less than the Republic for example, why would you begrudge hard working NHS staff and food bank volunteers a day off :skull:

Some bloke on C4 news got it right last night, he said all this extravagant showing is like something out of a Disney movie now.

Though if this was a Disney movie, we would say they've gone too far with their unrealistic fairy tale!

Crimson Dynamo 13-09-2022 02:10 PM

Id imagine all the people who hate the Monarchy will just turn up for work Monday

There is no way they will take the holiday I am sure of that

Im sure those who don't get paid for Monday will be pissed off losing out on a days money if their firm or whatever doesn't operate on Monday.

The Slim Reaper 13-09-2022 02:17 PM

I'm sure all the non-socialists, anti-union folks all use private healthcare, and don't accept any holiday or sick pay.

The Slim Reaper 13-09-2022 02:46 PM

More normal stuff on normal island.

is that because all their staff wanted the bank holiday off or because they are forcing it closed for the day?
