London (ANI): Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown has will soon be seen on the judges panel of a new American TV reality show titled ‘Dance your Ass Off’. The show will see the not-so-thin wiggling their bums before a live audience until they get toned up and fit.


Buzz up!"After the birth of my second daughter, I wanted to find a fun and effective way to drop the pounds and get back in shape...I learned dancing was the key," the Mirror quoted Mel B as saying. She added: "I''m excited and looking forward to cheering on the contestants as they dance their pounds off."

Geri Halliwell to wed?

Geri Halliwell has sparked speculation she is set to walk down the aisle for the first time, after she was spotted checking out wedding venues with pal Kenny Goss.

The former Spice Girl has been dating British aristocrat Henry Beckwith for almost a year, and is rumored to be setting out plans to make the English gent her husband.

According to Britain's The Sun, Halliwell met with a vicar at London's St. John at Hampstead church for more than an hour with the support of her friend Goss, George Michael's partner.

And after leaving the church, they visited an upmarket menswear shop.

An onlooker tells British newspaper The Sun, "Geri and Kenny seemed to spend the day making wedding arrangements. They were in the church ages before looking at formal dress at the tailors. Geri was giggling and seemed really excited. She wouldn't say what they were doing, but Kenny let the cat out of the bag."

Halliwell, who has a 3-year-old daughter with British screenwriter Sacha Gervasi, was previously engaged to Italian yacht tycoon Fabrizio Politi.

Beckham tipped for 'Idol' stylist role

Victoria Beckham has reportedly entered talks to work as a stylist on the new season of American Idol.

The fashion designer is thought to have been offered a £60,000-per-episode ($98,031) deal which would see her dressing the contestants for the live shows.

A source told The Mirror: "This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase Victoria's spectacular eye for fashion. She's giving the offer serious thought."

Insiders have suggested that Beckham was approached by creator Simon Fuller because he wants to tie her down with Idol before she can be snapped up for the US version of The X Factor. The star was tipped for a judging role on the forthcoming show last week.

The former Spice Girl has already appeared as a guest panellist on the current series of Idol.

Mel B has revealed that she is working on new music.

The former Spice Girl told the News of the World that she has started writing her own material.

"I was in the studio last week," she said. "I've only done a handful of tracks. I'm waiting to find a sound that I'm happy with but I'm writing all my own stuff.

"I've got a lot going on this year but I'm making time to be in the studio. I was in there 'til five in the morning. I always find at night, when you've put the kids to bed, you can get into your zone."

She added: "To do an album takes time and energy. You can't have distractions going on."

Mel B also revealed that preparations for the new Spice Girls musical are underway and explained that Mamma Mia! writer Judy Cramer is working on the project.

"She's in the creative process at the moment but is listening to all of us," she said. "She's open to all five of our ideas. If it was up to me it will be out tomorrow."

Spice Girls to reunite for London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony


Nineties girl band the Spice Girls have each forged successful solo careers, but sources imply they could reform for the first time since 2008 this summer and play at the Olympic Closing Ceremony.


The five singers, Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) and Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), will join other pop stars George Michael, The Who, Take That and Jessie J for the event on August 12.


The group will sing two songs, one of which is reported to be their 1996 hit single 'Wannabe' which was a number one in more than 30 countries.


Insiders say that Halliwell will wear the iconic Union Flag dress which she wore at the 1997 Brit Awards.

I think Spice Girls are viewed very differently in America than they are in the rest of the world. It seems like the rest of the world takes them seriously as a music group lol, in America they are just seen as a pop joke.

It always makes me smirk when i hear Brits talk about Spice Girls as a serious band.
