LOL the same *******ing crack pots in here I see on marcus hate threads! Sree a legend?? more like an ugly MF with golf ball eyes.

jonjonmaggie 09-09-2009 10:48 AM

Sree was my favorite, he was so funny, the time he was dancing with sophie to make noirin jealous and made sure she saw him.

setanta 09-09-2009 02:10 PM

Sree was great tv and practically owned the show while he was in the house. Pity he ballsed it up completely by falling for yer one but sure that's the way it goes and it's funny that certain forum members blast him for his association with her, calling him a muppet and a leech, but they can speak about Marcus in such glowing terms when he was guilty of the same behaviour. I also loved how he wound Marcus up so much- I disliked Marcus while Sree was in the house.

I blame noirin for leting it go on she had the power to stop it, but done nothing telling someone to stop then jumping in to bed is not sending the correct message to someone who as a crush on you! tell them NO and tell them to keep they'er distance not get in to bed with them let them watch you take a bath and rub sun cream into you ect..

So I'm very curious to hear from BB fans why he has been voted out if he is "the most amazing housemate ever" That's BS. He sucks.

Sree is obviously unstable and will probably top himself within the year when he fails his first set of exams.

He got cocky and fecked it all up.

Plus he was against marcus. And marcus was gaining a lot of popularity at the time.

Couple that with people not bothering to vote because they thought he was safe.

And people who didnt vote because they liked both housemates, and you have your answer.

The biggest problem was that most freddie fans were also marcus fans, so wouldnt vote one out in favour of the other. I had the same trouble myself.

Had he been against anyone else he would have stayed. I think anyway.

It all went wrong for Sree when he tried to play the race card with Marcus, after having tried all he could to provoke a reaction from Marcus that day, and Marcus totally owned BB in the diary room when he told them not to even go there with the bullshit racist claims. BB backed off completely and Sree sealed his fate and got booted:dance:

You're wrong there actually. Marcus was ordered into the Diary Room when the argument heated up and was asked to comment on his mimicking of Sree's accent and how some might consider it to be derogatory. That's when he had a pop at them and I suppose he had a valid point to make but still he came across as a confrontational know-it-all who has a real problem admitting any mistakes.

But that had really nothing to do with Sree. And you keep forgetting that Big Brother called Marcus in again over the real issue that I personally had with him that day in his aggressive posturing and words to Sree that most definitely could be deemed as being threatening. Sree was involved in the arguing yes, but you can't place all the blame on him over that whole situation. If anything Marcus was the muppet, even if he initially came across well in Diary Room. Oh, I bloody hated him at that stage. lol

Oops! Sorry VickyJ, I did misread your post. However, I think Sree might have stood a chance, even against Freddie, if he hadn't tried to play the race card. I think Marcus could be quite obnoxious at times, but he has never struck me as a racist. Clearly BB didn't think so either otherwise they would definitely have pursued it.

Well Marcus was picking on Sree all the time, partly to do with Siavash fancying Noirin and also Marcus fancying Noirin as well.

Marcus did mock Sree's accent and was sent to the diary room for it.

Now, did Sree play the race card? No, Sree said he is mocking his accent...

Is it racist to mock his accent? Well... did Marcus mock Freddie's posh accent? Noirin's accent? Rodrigo's accent? Did he mock anybody's accent but Sree's?

So the question is why did Marcus mock Sree's accent? Out of fun? How... they weren't the best of pals. Did Marcus bring up Sree during tasks all the time. Did he backbite about him all the time. Did he mock Noirin for spending time with him?

Did Marcus go into a deep depression when Noirin went with Siavash? Did Marcus follow Noirin around the house? Did Marcus say he wanted to hit Sree as well?

Marcus isn't a very tall chap as we've discovered. He isn't as strong as he would like to make out too. All of it was bravado and exaggeration it seems. So I think with Marcus hitting out at Sree - who had a lot more than Marcus. Marcus has almost nought and has a long line of fantasy based lies in his life to compensate for a multitude of discrepancies too...

He was jealous of what Sree had. His ability to go up to girls and just talk and spend time with them. We know, Lisa, Karly, Sophie and even Noirin until Siavash and co mocked her about it, all like Sree. Of course the situation with Noirin was different because, well the situation between Noirin and any man she is with is weird...

Looking at the video of Marcus getting kissed by a girl on the cheek and being unable to stop grinning just shows how much of his life and all his motives works around his lack of luck with woman and how sexually frustrated he is.

So to say that he didn't have a bone to pick with Sree is putting the onus on Marcus as some form of messiah. Some kind of God. Some kind of man who cannot be judged... he did a lot of bad in that house - of course he's part of an insecure trio of Freddie, Siavash and himself... maybe Cairon too who has been so schooled into discipline he is almost afraid of society and it's rules.

It's funny that... Sree was evicted and blamed for his behaviour for Noirin and continues to be so. Are people afraid to admit they were wrong? I was supporting Noirin at that point. I respected her for keeping Sree at length. I disliked Sree when he got a tad creepy. But when Noirin started to believe Siavash and Marcus and said he was too much (when in fact, they did exactly the same and behaved exactly the same as Sree - worse than Sree in Marcus' case (maybe Siavash too)) I didn't agree with her.

And then when Noirin, Siavash, Marcus and even Freddie became this bizarre dysfunctional family who believed they were smart (even though they lost every argument they had with Lisa and company in the house) but were so bowled over by simplicities of Rabbitgate, Beergate and also their own affections towards Noirin - you could see that these three were a product of a lifetime of failures. Struggling socially, looking ridiculous or basically in Noirin's case sleeping around and flirting with anything that moves.

So, considering Sree was liked by most of the house until Siavash's jealous streak popped up (and having seen him backbite and backstab everybody in the house, I can't but think how anybody can justify his behaviour towards housemates and his relationship with people) a few turned against him... I can only state that Sree did very little wrong but like I said, in the case of Lisa and others - as we saw other sides of people in the house; many were afraid of admitting that they hadn't seen enough of the housemates and they were wrong about a few of them...

I admit I liked some at some based but after seeing their behaviour over time in the house, I realised how things happened and why and how nasty and insecure some of them were. I started off liking Siavash, even Marcus and Freddie - I ended up disliking all three... I liked Freddie up until I remembered he disliked anybody who got close to Sophie. Seeing him getting her number on the photographs just reminded me of this part of his behaviour. Siavash? Simply the worse housemate in the history of Big Brother.

Freddie, Marcus & Siavash were great HMs, without them, would have been dull.

I dont need to write an essay explaining why, we all have watched the show and know why.

Sree was annoying, and was rightfully evicted when he was, yes he had made funny comments, but at the end of the day, freddie was much more interesting, as he did made BB this year.

Edited to add: Freddie was evicted mainly because a lot of people thought he would be sade, with marcus being unpopular, but infact marcus was gaining popularity, so if people didnt have that attitude, Freddie would have definatley stayed - it explains why the % was so close.

Also marcus fans would have voted loads because of freddies popularity, and with freddies fans not trying as hard because they were thought he would stay. Marcus got lucky tbh.

Anyway, who cares now, its over, just glad the 3 of them are still very popular and mates.

Vicky. 09-09-2009 05:44 PM

MT, they all mocked each others accents. I remember marcus doing freddies one night also.

Sree only ever mimicked freddies, never anyone elses, Karly only ever mimicked freddies, does this make them racist?

Siavash? Simply the worse housemate in the history of Big Brother.[/rquote]

Probably the best post I have read on TiBB. Thank you.

Freddie, Marcus & Siavash were great HMs, without them, would have been dull.

[/rquote]

I will admit that this year's Big Brother was about Freddie, Marcus, Siavash and Noirin. Mainly...

Why? Because the Cameras were on them all the time? Why - because they were the ones who were always pushing buttons with irresponsibility and their behaviour.

The rest were mundane - not bad mundane; they were in fact entertaining for me (for when they were shown for their behaviour)...

These four were in my view the most stressed, the easily agitated, the extremely desperate and the most insecure and confused... they did things, they created stories, they were obsessive over their behaviour (easy to create a story line if somebody is obsessive) while the rest? Well did odds and ends and all sorts...

so they became favourites, had a fanatical support because they were generically in your face.

This however does not mean that they were right. Sree for instance was liked by most of the house, Marcus targeted either the weak or those closest to Noirin. For instance, Freddie wound up everyone - Sree didn't even talk to Marcus but he wound him up. Two different types of wound up... one is part of this obsessive types who cling on to something and stick with it, the other is spending time with Lisa, Sophie, Karly, Kris, Charlie etc and Marcus just doesn't like him... partly to do with Noirin, partly because he is weak and insecure and needs someone to blame for things he can't have.

I am sure, if the cameras were one Sophie, Rodrigo, Charlie, David etc, they would get just as much an extreme reaction from two camps who admired those who had the camera because of their overly obsessive and destructive personalities and those who despised watching people who were overly obsessive and destructive and inevitably to others.

The simple fact is - the rest of the house bar these four, were not overly obsessive and destructive personalities. These four just always had trouble following them because they invited it or created it.

What I love is, we know why.

Siavash - only child
Freddie - had an illness and because of that over protective parents
Marcus - massive Mother issues
Noirin - Huge maternal overpowering instinct and inability to relate to others.

I did not like Sree, I do not wish to call him legend.

He may have entertained us, but my memory of Sree would be = 15 x 15
Insulting dyslexia people. It was very uncomfortable to watch.

Sree never played any race card, it was BB who called Marcus into the DR. So they did pursue it. And later, after threatening Sree in the garden, he did get an official warning. I used to think the official warning was for the mocking accent, but it was infact for the threats in the garden.
Far too many people forgot about this or were confused after Marcy went on a rant on the 'race' issue,
but,
In fact, Sree did NOT report Marcy for 'racial insults' nor did Sree report Marcy for threatening violence,
BB did.
BB called Marcy in for those,
and,
Marcus denied both charges and most remember him (and I largely agreed) denouncing the 'PC' race charges and repeating a common argument,
HOWEVER...
...Marcy DID say what Noirin had already mentioned to BB and to Marcus and that was a threat of violence outside the house.
Marcus denied it and was 'punked' by Big Brother who had the recording and transcript.
Marcy then received an 'official warning' for the violence threat against Sree.

btw.. Sree never 'stalked' Noirin. He was madly in love and full of 'puppy love' and she was manipulating and playing with it the whole time.
Noirin is the one with 'stalker' tendencies and was also the one who 'warned Big Brother' (veiled) that if they didn't do something about Sree that 'someone might snap' and really lets face it - she was going to make Marcus beat up Sree.
A stupid 19 year old girl who got a 15 year old boy chasing her and then for her amusement got a fat 17 year old boy to 'play knight' and beat up the younger kid.

Sree might have been a love-struck 15 year old boy who didn't know when to quit,
but,
that IS what he was. That is one helluva lot more acceptable that a disgusting hooker or a 35 year old short fat teenager wanting to hurt people for their own amusement.

Sree was so pathetic it was entertaining. It was even more amusing, disturbing and entertaining to watch Marcus fall into the EXACT same trap after being disgusted with Sree's behavior.

Sree was just so totally messed up.

In a way Siavash is similar to Sree. Neither is fully conscious of their own BS.

Siavash half believes his lies, he half believes he is this honest, humble guy who loves everybody and doesn't want to hurt or harm anyone.

Sree also believes he is this good guy with strong moral values who has a good heart.

It is hilarious these two.

Compared to either of them Marcus is the model for self awareness.

I forgot about Sree by the time the series ended, to be honest. Angel could have been a legend had she lasted longer.
