After school, mum had it on the news when I came in.
We had a two minute silence in school, I can't remember when, it might've been the day it happened but if it was I didn't understand that was what it was for. I was only 7

[rquote=2562545&tid=147369&author=Sophii3x]I was 10 and I was in school. The headteacher came into the class and said that two planes crashed into the world trade centre in America. Despite not knowing what the world trade centre was I renember being so shocked and upset. I got home and saw what happened on the news. Later on I got a phonecall from my cousin saying that her dad and brothers were safe.. they were in New York, they were going to go up the tower that morning at about half 8ish, but went the night before instead.. they saw the whole attacks from their hotel room.

I can't believe it's been 8 years though. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families who lost their loved ones on that day.

Woah!
So they planned to go up at 8:30am (around 20 mins before the first plane hit) but decided last minute to go the night before... ! Its things like that which really creep me out, its so lucky, I bet they were thinking how lucky they were when they saw it on TV that they werent in the building.

The poor people that were in that building, have no idea how they were feeling. The calls from the tower doc made me realise how some people were just so calm about it. One of the quotes that really upset me was when someone said calmly "I cant get down, the stairs are blocked, but Im convinced that I will be safe, I assure you Mum i am safe" (then the situation gets worse)...,..." but If im not, say to my kids how much I love them and I love you too Mum, dont ever forget that, I will see you soon"

It was horible to watch, I was crying!
