This is an ignorant obsevation.
Obviously you've heard all the talk about Lady Gaga copying Christina Aguilera.
Well, they refer to Gaga's haircut!
It's the same do as Aguilera sported for her "Keep's getting Better" phase, which pre-dated Gaga's "Just Dance" by about 6 months.
Otherwise, Gaga is completely different from Aguilera.
Gaga wears Houte Couture fashion from a fashion House she created called Haus of Gaga or La Maison de Gaga which is a crucial part of her image as an artist.
Aguilera doesn't wear anything couture. Given the phase, she could've been seen in a revealling spandex jumpsuit or a 1950's inspired get-up.
Gaga is inventive with her promotional material including video's, iconography and touring.
Aguilera uses the standard system used by those before her.
Gaga tries to appeal to the mass audience by speaking many different languages in her work.
Aguilera speaks English and Spanish for English and Spanish countires formally.
Gaga doesn't do ballads for the most part.
Aguilera can't count her ballads they're so numerous.
Gaga has a weak voice but uses it well.
Aguilera has an exceptional voice.
Gaga writes her own material.
Aguilera does not and has even had Gaga write for her.

And I could go on.

And on.

And also, if being naturally and exceptionally talented in all fields of the entertainment industry is being old-fashioned, then you're right.
