The Kings Hall Belfast, 1984, what a night! I was only 14 and in love with Morrisey and a boy called John. Morrisey won the battle fo my heart!

I seen These Charming Men a few months ago. Excellent tribute band. I know there is a stigma attached to tribute bands but these guys are really good and have played to like thousands.

Yeah, because they were a really, really important part of a lot of peoples lives. Just not yours. Better that than Leona Lewis.

I have seen a Morrissey tribute and thought it was pretty good.
And yeah, The Smiths are not something the indie kids have claimed, Morrissey and Marr worked great together and they appeal to everyone, their lyrics have stood the test of time.

I love how obsessive the fans are. It's the same with Depeche and in my opinion that sort of thing has died out today and you simply don't see it happen a whole lot with the likes of The Killers & [god forbid] Nickelback.

At the tribute gig I counted at least eight people with big quiffs and big square glasses. Some people think that's sad but personally I think it's a great thing to see. Bit of passion FFS.

Yeah like people dive at Morrissey on stage lol It's great. Yep you don't see as passionate fans anymore I don't think, too much dribble such as The Killers, The Kooks, Bloc Party that are all mediocre and are sort of just there.

He was always like that, even in The Smiths, really hard to work with sometimes.
