Neil Young always admired The Beatles but I've never heard of anyone having the balls to cover any of their songs in front of an audience of thousands -sorry millions, particularly one as famous as A Day in the Life.

For him the journey towards great music is just as important as the creation of a great album, you kno? He's completely invested on the path he follows and I'll always admire that about him, even if it means he'll release the odd clanger. He's actually just as proud of the records that some perceive as being bad.... there's no ego involved really. I enjoy his 90's stuff. He's producing really good music now that's still contemporary. Should watch Jonathan Demme's live concert. Magic stuff. |
