I've been bought up in a religious family. I just find it hard to beleive some of the things scientists have said. Of course i've questioned my religion.. i think everyone does. And there's no point in explaining what makes me beleive because i think only people who do beleive will understand where i'm coming from. It gives me comfort in beleiving there is a God.. and i found it pretty rude that i get called an idiot because of what i choose to beleive in.

Yeah i do beleive. But i'm not saying i am right to beleive this. Not everyone is wrong/right.

You can't objectively say he exists/he doesn't exist. There is no proof either way, so its just down to a belief.

But Christina said, she never said god existed but that she believed he existed. Surely if you believe something to be real, whether it is in fact true or not is irrelevant?

Because shes stating her opinion, she doesn't know god exists (shes said that in this thread, saying she has questioned it) but she believes he exists, just like you don't believe he exists, but you don't know that for fact. There is a difference. Its an opinion.

But I do not live my life based on a set of rules believing in something that may or may not exist.

Enid you believe god doesn't exist and you believe science is right don't you? Plus you must believe in all your morals etc. Your entire thought process is based on belief.
