Maybe I just grew up and got moody, but it certainly has changed, a lot of people have come and gone.

You were always *****ing moody..

Although, it's not surprising really...didn't he say he would go to internet cafes to bypass an IP ban?

I demand that Mark posts the picture in all its glory here!

Yeah, but that was all bollocks about internet cafes, he just used proxy sites.

yeah, there's also more members who make snide comments at others when they aswell say their names.

And not really I guess, I joined when it was apparently a 'controversial' year and it still has its fair share.

Cant the mods still find out its you if you use proxies though?

I always thought proxies were pointless for forums and websites like this.

That's how he rolls mofo..

the only thing worse than the things that people point out about the site nowadays is the sad, select few who once posted like crazy, and now only come back from time to time to moan about how great this site used to be. Get off the ****ing high horse.

Yeah, that's why he'd get banned like 2 minutes after signing up every time. And, on the old forum only admins could see IP's, so sometimes he'd go a while without being banned. Although when VickyJ, Marcjswp and ukturtle were made mods he got 24hr posting banned every time, and then when an admin logged on they'd perma-ban the accounts.

Princess 25-01-2010 10:28 PM

It has obviously changed. There was only something like 2,000 members when I joined(I'm not even sure it was that many). There's hardly anyone still here from 2005,me,Linda,Greg and Aaron being the ones that come to mind. But I really don't think it's changed that much. It's always been young people,we just grew up and new young people came along. There's always been fights and arguments and there has always been cliques. But really it still has the same essence about it. Plenty of us have stuck around because of it havn't we?

Beastie 25-01-2010 10:28 PM

I hope Gavin comes back.. and President.

MrGaryy 25-01-2010 10:29 PM

yeah it has. It's a lot less interesting now. The current crop of members, the majority are just too young and immature to hold a proper conversation, you walk into a thread, you're guaranteed to see either an argument, aimless **** chatting or total ignorance. Then you have these ****ing messes who constantly complain of 'groups' forming, ect. who need to wake up and realise the more people on tibb, the more likely people are going to disagree and become closer with others. this time last year, there were still argument but they were at least interesting ones.

Good post Shaun.

Some of the older members dont seem to make the effort getting to know us newer members, not much we can do about that!

Well you do seem to gang together very quickly. Not that I'm saying you're not talking to the older members or anything, just sometimes it seems you're speaking a whole different language

InOne 25-01-2010 10:39 PM

I think I got to know quite a few of the 'oldies' quite well.

Ross 25-01-2010 10:40 PM

It has, I don't know if for the better or worse everyone has their own opinion on that... for me, it's still the same just not with the same members if that makes any sense.

When I first joined I was a 'noob' like everyone else, getting to know everyone and talking etc. Then like there always has and always will be on this forum, groups obviously form because if you like certain members then you are obviously going to talk to them more, it's not about targetting people. Anyway I was in a sort of group with Hannah, Sia, Annie, Rocko, Fom etc... now I don't really speak to any of these. Then I became friendly with Mark, Hugo, Gary, Shaun, Billy, Rory etc... and I only really speak to Billy, Rory and Mark nowadays. Things change but the forum is how you make it.

I've always spoke to members like Arneldo, Lauren, Zee, Princess, Rory on a daily basis and hope to continually do so.

People change and people move on, you just gotta deal with it. I guarantee in a year the 'groups' that there are now, won't be entirely the same someone would have gone/argued/left. (I don't think groups are a bad thing before anyone says).

It's sad because I miss talking to alot of some of my old close friends on here but hey they're still about so it's good.

I think I've changed alot aswell... calmed down loads.

GhettoSuperstar 25-01-2010 10:43 PM

The members have changed but I still feel like i'm on the outside. I've never been online or chatty enough to be in a group/clique/friendship circle. Or maybe i don't appeal online.

So no, it's not really changed for me.

GhettoSuperstar 25-01-2010 10:44 PM

Oooo it was my 3 year anniversary yesterday!

Yeah groups always change. People I talked to when I first joined, only Greg is still around, then out of the 2nd lot,Mark and Sophie are still around. I don't really think I'm in a group much anymore. I just have people I talk to loads, like you and Gary and Mark and Soph and so on.
