Do you know how you can prevent certain users from seeing/posting in certain sections in a website like that?

For example, the HMs can't see the posts by the members who discuss who they like/dislike??

yeah you can tick boxes well the admin can that you can only see certain forums

Erm, I think on Invision (which I'm becoming familiar with) you can set permission masks for different groups to determine what they can and cannot see. Like you wouldn't allow housemates access to the general public (I've never done my own VBB before as I've been put off by too much competition, but that's what I've seen anyway!)
