The fact that Toastee point blank said the charts define what is good and whats not is the depressing type of thought that necessitates threads like these in the first place.

No !, that was my definity towards good music, please don't come in this thread looking for an argument.

Edit: And another thing, don't try an turn this all back to me just because people are arguing about my view of music, I have said my piece and they carried it on, so don't try and make me part of this argument.

Maybe it IS music snobbery. Maybe that's what I am. A music snob. Maybe. Probably. I don't care.

And I hate it when people say chart music is ****, as if it's a fact, not an opinion.

I never said what was ****, just it was **** in general. But i'll name a few, Cheryl Cole, Jedward, The Saturdays, JLS, GaGa. That is a few, but there is many more, and I don't mind laughing at people who like music like that tbh.

I'm not 'looking for an argument' I'm looking for a musical fucking debate. If you can't tell the difference between the two then don't bother. I'm not trying to start an argument. I found your initial post riddiculous and thus chose to comment on it.

Are Definity any good?

Well I only answered the question that was asked, if you have a problem with that then you should sort it out, instead of attacking me saying my opinions are ridiculous.

And if you want to have musical fucking debate, go have it with someone else you loser.

Edit: And btw, if you think i'm going to reply to whatever sad-ass comment you put next, then think again, i am so over aggravating dicks like you.

I do have a problem with what you said. And I am sorting it out. What do you think I am doing, hunting for fucking gold?

Sorry, I assumed you were up for a musical discussion. You know, with your whole posting in the musical discussion thread and everything.

Have you got any glue? I need to piece my heart back together.

Screw it, the egg on your face is sticky enough. That'll do.

Princess 01-03-2010 02:33 PM

Guys please stop arguing. Toastee,Stu was just trying to have a dicussion,he wasn't insulting you.

Niamh. 01-03-2010 02:35 PM

Obviously everyone thinks their own taste is good

Enid 01-03-2010 02:36 PM

Someone just got way too defensive there. Stu's comment was not directed at you, Toasteee, he was just making an "observation". :P

Well i'm sorry if i got the wrong impression. I just don't have a discussion about it, if I feel he is belittling my opinion.

People with good music taste, imo, listen to all music genres and don't just stereotype all songs in a particular one as '****ty' based on one or two songs. I mean, I'm not an RnB fan but I can say that I have heard a few songs that I like even though i'm not rushing out to promte the album or gushing about it at all opportunities.

There are no bad genres, just bad music.

One good reason for what, listening to music that isn't popular? I don't know...broadening your horizons? Not having your taste dictated by the media?

Of course it was directed at you. That's why I put your lovely username in the post.

What difference does it make if it's directed at you? That's. What. The. Thread. Is. Here. For.

Then your only ever going to hear certain songs and a limited musical knowledge and scope is your punishment for being so apathetic.

Although I suppose if some people are happy enough cooped up in their little musical bubble, that's fine. I just think a lot of you would be pleasantly surprised if you decided to try something different for a change.
