Okay, well since Twilight missed her queue, I'll go ahead and post another song. Muahah.

Liquid Stranger - "Dance on the Petals". Tell me what you think.

Dub beats and french accordian. Quite moody and chilled. Like the bass. This may grown on me more after a few plays. Sort of reminds me of The Orb. Is the full title "Dance on the petals avoiding the nettles"?

On YouTube it's labelled "Dance on the Petals", and Spotify, "Dance on the Pettles Avoiding the Nettles". Not sure which one is correct.

Wiredly and crazyly intresting song. Kinda Liked it.

hennessy 26-03-2010 05:11 PM

Very chilled out, good song to unwind to after a hard day.
Be interested to find out if their other songs are in the same mode
feel free to chose another poster for tomorrow

Enid 26-03-2010 05:18 PM

Glad you enjoyed it.

Mrluvaluva's turn tomorrow. He has quite an eccentric music taste.

Mrluvaluva 26-03-2010 05:49 PM

Is it ok if I post some older stuff or would you rather keep it more recent?

hennessy 26-03-2010 06:00 PM

anything you like

Mrluvaluva 26-03-2010 07:31 PM

Ok. Will post some tracks tomorrow morning.

Mrluvaluva 27-03-2010 10:00 AM

Well this is my choice for today. I had a few but I will save the rest for future posts.

"Baby I love you so" - Colourbox.

Can you choose someone for tomorrow please as I am not sure who is active in this thread, and I won't be back on until later tomorrow. If nobody else wants to do one then it's back to hennessy.

hennessy 27-03-2010 01:23 PM

Has a 'specials' feel about, for me it sounds dark and a little like it came from 'Get Carter' OST.
Like the bass and the horn, very bleak.
Good choice, it's a song that would rarely be heard on this forum

Enid 27-03-2010 01:52 PM

Are they dub beats (I'm not very good with dub, just getting into it)? I like it. Very chilled.

I think setanta should be up next.

hennessy 27-03-2010 02:19 PM

I concur

setanta 27-03-2010 10:22 PM

I have to do one now or tomorrow?

setanta 27-03-2010 10:25 PM

Nice track Mrluva by the way. Nice raggae vibes mixed in with electronic beats and sound effects..

hennessy 27-03-2010 10:25 PM

tomorrow mate

Mrluvaluva 28-03-2010 03:17 PM

Glad you all seemed to like it. I look forward to James' choice. And yes Enid. It has dub beats.

setanta 28-03-2010 03:53 PM

Is it ok if I post two tracks from the same artist?

Mrluvaluva 28-03-2010 03:57 PM

Don't be greedy! Ha. Course it is.

setanta 28-03-2010 03:59 PM

Lol, great. I'm just greedy when it comes to this artist. Think he's incredible. I'm a big fan of immersive, ambient music that's laced with beautiful textures and melodies. This guy hypnotizes me.

hennessy 28-03-2010 04:46 PM

Like both songs but favoured the 2nd.
very rich layers with a kind of ambient trip hop beat.
Really like the video for the second and fits the music well.
Will be check out other stuff from him.
I'm trying not to sound like a sycophant.

Enid 28-03-2010 07:14 PM

I love it hun. Same with hennessy, preferred the second track. There's something about it I can't quite pin point. So chilling and out of this world like (does that make any sense?). You a Boards of Canada or Aphex Twin fan?

Yep, like the two of them, although I think Ulrich is more immediate than the Boards of Canada, who are more motivated by a desire to create ambience and soundscapes rather than a strong melody and rhythm. I'm a melody man myself... need that to reel me in.

No worries.... glad that you like him. Yeah, 2nd is my fav of the two, but imagine if they played the first one at a nightclub? I'd be in my element. Think it would be a class track to mix with.

hennessy 28-03-2010 07:34 PM

Setanta you got to choose someone for tomorrow but inspired choices today
