ELO & Velvet Underground. Hmm. Bought CD's by both of them last week but was disappointed that "All tomorrows parties" was not on the VU one. I would add the Cocteau Twins but it would be pointless.

Have we had Queen?

yep to Queen.

Not really looked into Cocteau Twins - am I right in thinking they provided vocals for Massive Attack's "Teardrop"?

Liz Fraser did yeah. She has a beautiful voice. Also collaborated with This Mortal Coil.

Tracy Thorn from Everything But The Girl also did vocals for "Protection" by Massive Attack. She has a great voice too. Very different. Nothing extensive, but pleasant.

I shall add The Beautiful South.

Paramore probably wouldn't even figure into my top 64 of the noughties.

even in their own little emo pack there're better acts: Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco, HIM, AFI...
