What a tough decision, do as above, or colour my hair ginger, wear a skirt. Drink whisky till becoming abusive or comatose, eat deep fried mars bars and pizzas. But most all develop a serious irrational pathological hatred of the English, based on the fact they have better sports teams oh and the fact my country was sold out repeatedly by its own lairds, bankers etc in both the 12th and 18th century. Hard decision.

Is there not an easy middle ground?

You still have to go to school on St George's day. May Day is the next day off.

Its a question.

I didn't understand it was a question as the preposition is in the middle part of the sentence. I gave the benefit of doubt about sentence construction as you're usually very careful about such things and drew the conclusion you could regale us with an easy Shas solution to teach us waynes.

I'd assumed the questionmark was a rhetorical and you'd launch into the easy solution when prompted to do so.

Give me a clue here, what word do you define as the preposition? I ask this because I am speaking English, do the rules of language and definitions of what things are change when used by a Scot? An isnt being used as a preposition its not an in every or per case. It is being used as the alternative indefinitive article functioning as an adjective. The position of a preposition incidentally does not determine a question.

I can't be bothered debating grammar with you Tel - it seems as ludicrous as the kids debating Jedward or kids from Glee. I was slightly winding you to get you to come up with an easy solution to some unknown difficulty you'd found. See PM mate regarding you know what!
