There is nothing in the contract tieing them to a set series length, hence why BB5 and BB6 were different lengths, and BB7 was extended to 13 weeks just before launch (which narked Endemol who hadn't planned for it, hence the almost weekly twist and late series lull that year).

Not without good reason and agreement from both sides, even if that was the case, how does it rule out the 14 week rumour?
