A girl I know forgot Jade died and thought she'd return for CBB again back in January to redeem her public image. I sometimes forget she died as well.

She really was THE deifnitive BB contestant. The public saw her career start in BB3, the start of her lfie as a parent in BB Panto, the downfall in CBB and then she was in BB India when she found out about the cancer, and in every series she was loved and loathed.

The politicians and people who only ever watched CBB because of the race row saw Jade as the face of BB, because she was the most successful, and it makes me think had she not been in any previous BB series, if she were famous by some other means, would BB have been as villified?

There are so many more people more deserving of my sympathy the Goody. She was an embaressment in life and her poor kids will have all that fantastic BB footage to look at and be so proud of their mother when they get older.

The goody fame was a hugely successful media hype and marketing exercise which it seems so many people where only pleased to support probably because when they looked at goody it made them feel a little less stupid than they actually are.

I disagree! Although not a fan of Jade - she did remarkably well for herself considering the awful background she came from - and the main reason for that was her open and forthright personality! With Jade, what you saw was what you got - no pretence, or airs and graces! She was far from perfect, but at the end, she handled her death sentence with bravery and grace - and for that she deserves some recognition.

I think her kids will be proud of her - what they are most likely to find upsetting is the hate and nasty comments made by some people both on here and in general!

Did she not have an agent or marketing or did she do that all herself? If people think having no pretenses or airs and graces warrants making someone a celebrity or elevating a person above anyone else then I am afraid they are quite deluded in my opinion. Also most people do not have a choice to market their own deaths through the media. Bravery and grace do not come into it.

I dont know her kids but I suspect they will have been lined up for a ten year anniversary of her death tv program already. I doubt pride will be top of their thoughts when they see footage of people burning effigies of their mum do you?

Well NOONE replied to this thread in the general section and the thread is now 3 pages long in the bb11 section (even though its all bitching!)

It aint a big deal. I posted it early hours yesterday mornin when the forum was quiet not to clog up the home page.

So im sure you can deal with this small inconvinience

Of course she had an agent, so! We saw her open, naive personality when she was originally on bb - before she had an agent! They may well have played up to that - but she wasn't exactly acting the part! If you want to blame anyone, blame the kids that bought all the magazines etc, probably a lot of members from this forum, they made her! She made the most of it - and built herself a very nice standard of living for her and her children! She took the only chance she was every likely to have - can't blame her for that!

Jade probably saved a lot of lives through 'marketing her death' - not exactly a bad thing! And as for those burning effigies of her - they were no better than they accused her of! Why should that affect the way her children see her. I don't think anyone would condone the way she behaved on celeb bb - but that shouldn't be the only measure of her!

Agree with all of this.
