You really think someone could get into medical school on the basis of a phonecall??
When she mentioned about not doing so well in her exams and someone making a phonecall, to me it sounded more like a phonecall to let her do re-takes.
No one can get into medical school just from a phonecall!
And you say you're not threatened by her intelligence, but you just tried to comment on her entry to medical school.
If someone had barely managed to get in, they would me out in the first year anyway

She seems like a nice enough girl. Reasonably intelligent although quite insecure and finding it hard to relax in front of camera. Not everyone can switch off so easily when the have spent most of their adult live having to pay attention to the minutest detail at uni and in hospital.
The reaction to the cameras is purely nervous and hopefully will subside within a few weeks once she starts relaxing a bit more and is around people that she can give her trust to. She is better than she was in the first week.

I cleared that one up ages ago. She messed up her GCSE's and her Mum made a phonecall to the 6th form she was meant to be going to and got her in on a music scholarship, rather than a high achiever. Whilst there she re-sat 14 GCSE's alongside 5 A-levels... Ended up getting 14 A*s an A, and 5 A's at A-level... hence why shes now at med school.

I'd like to see the prize money go to someone sensible and not flushed away on drink, drugs, tattoos, tanning salons, breast augmentation, proselytisation or the workshy.
I think she'll grow and mature out of any perceived character flaws

Not only a bright girl - but talented in music as well! The girl has a good future ahead of her - unlike a lot of the other wannabees on there! The more I see of her, the more I like her!

Thansk for clearing that up. I made some attempt as I knew she could not have got into Medical school just from as phonecall. I assumed it was a phonecall about re-takes.
But again wow! Now thats an achievement!
