I highly doubt any major long term cast members will be killed off.

So I don't see Rita, Emily or Norris being killed off.

Jack Duckworth might though as he's leaving in December I think.

Smithy 07-07-2010 05:30 PM

Maybe it's the new underworlds fault, like they do something to the infrastructure which causes it to collapse

Yeah I would not mind if Jack got killed off.

I want Tyrone to NOT die.. to be honest I would like Tyrone and Maria to get back together <3

You mean the viaduct Underworld? That's what I thought too, Bill and Jason could have done some shoddy work, and for the past year it has just been steadily breaking apart :p

I think they might kill off some older characters, I dont think many people in the show are safe - Least safe being Rita and Dev

Callum 07-07-2010 05:33 PM

Why is everyone saying Dev? :conf:

Ya

They could kill off Bill, he hasn't been very active recently :/

Beastie 07-07-2010 05:34 PM

Is Corrie on tonight? I might watch <3 I want to get in the swing of Corrie again <3

RichardWells 07-07-2010 05:34 PM

I personally will be stunned then if they kill off Rita as she has been around for so long.

I know Barbara Knox has had a bout of illness late last year/early this year I think so maybe she does want out.

Smithy 07-07-2010 05:35 PM

Nope Beasty :(

Tomorrow I think

Scarlett. 07-07-2010 05:35 PM

Aye, plus we have Owen now, he's the big new builder on the street

It's on tommorow at 8:30

The crash will happen over one night and aired over a week, similar to that when Coronation Street went HD with the ill-fated 'Siege Week.
Yay :D:D:D

Is Cheryl sticking around? If she is I could see her being killed off to give Lloyd a new route

Scarlett. 07-07-2010 05:43 PM

I feel sorry for siege week, it could have been so much better if Kim Crowther wasnt behind it xD

One thing, obviously CGI will be used during the crash, but during the aftermath how will they show it? the viaduct is a facade for a building

Smithy 07-07-2010 05:45 PM

The guy who decided to go kill everyone didn't really help :P
I found out the other day that my cousin shouted at him for opening his door in the middle of the road just before he shot someone :O

It'll be interesting to see how much of the street id damaged, and how the rebuilding thing is gonna work out

Scarlett. 07-07-2010 05:47 PM

Indeed :p though with this Raul Moate bloke on the run, there doesnt seem to be much fuss about showing guns on TV

Aye it will, I hope they change it up a bit, there should be some sort of memorial

RichardWells 07-07-2010 05:59 PM

I hope this storyline ends up being better than the siege storyline.

All I kept hearing was major cast members being killed off and it just ended up being Tony Gordon and his henchman who was in like what 3 or 4 episodes lol.

Scarlett. 07-07-2010 06:03 PM

That was done by Kim though, all her big storylines were a let down, where as Phil wants to lead us off the trail by releasing false stories to the press

RichardWells 07-07-2010 06:07 PM

I think the storyline it's self was fine but I just think it was built up to be bigger than it was.

Plus the rescheduling of the episodes due to the Cumbrian shootings didn't help.

Smithy 07-07-2010 06:10 PM

Tbh i thought the storyline was really creative, the acting was brilliant and the explosion was great the only bad thing was that it was predictable about who was going to die.

Scarlett. 07-07-2010 06:11 PM

Aye, a massive dampener was put on it by the shootings

Scarlett. 07-07-2010 07:55 PM

Lets hope it's bigger than the 1960's edition xD

Apparently the stunts will be co-ordinated by The Mill, a stunt company from New York

Scarlett. 08-07-2010 09:51 AM

Imagine Christmas this year in Corrie

RichardWells 08-07-2010 10:22 AM

Well what is Christmas in soap without a accident and tragedy or 2 lol.

Scarlett. 08-07-2010 10:25 AM

Corrie's is usually just the Websters and Platt's arguing xD This years looks to be less festive though, it would be good to see the Street celebrating it together
