The only JLS member that I can understand anyone finding them hot is Aston... the rest are all pretty ew.

I know the look and the music you're talking about, but what does it stand for? or is it short for something?

It's generally synonymous with the music you're thinking of and that's all it really denotes, but the term was originally used for bands in the early 90's such as Rites of Spring who evolved from the "post-hardcore" scene. Their music was labelled "emotional hardcore".

I just think of it as pop to be honest.
