Willow is quite nice!
Well I have Olivia sorted then. I like Henry, Kevin and William for boys.
Need to think of another girl's name. I would like 2 kids when I am older.. so need to think of another girl's name just in case I have 2 girls. Lol I am sad. joke!

I love the names Hazel and Eve for girls, I briefly thought about Eve for my daughter but it sounds too much like my name

Geez! So she's Bean-Eloise?or the other way round? Have her parents ever given a good reason for calling her Bean?
My mum nearly called me storm as there was an awful storm the night I was born plus the woman in the book she was reading in the hospital was called Storm!! I'm soooo glad she saw sense!!

Eve is nice! I did actually like "Adam and Eve" for a boy and a girl at one point!

Ooo I have a Auntie Hazel! Hazel sounds cool!

Beastie 29-09-2010 02:14 PM

Other way round! I was only vaguely listening when she explained the story behind her name, but something to do with "looking like a bean", I dunno if that meant on an ultrasound scan, or when she was born (how graphic!??!) or what, but something along those lines! Uff, Storm would have been an awful name. I mean, it's quite a powerful name, but imagine going through childhood with that name!

It just makes me cringe to hear unconventional baby names, it's something I can't help and I don't treat the person any different, but I have a hard time getting used to them. My older brother's been married for two years now and baby talk has been banded about for a while now, they jokingly suggested calling a baby Achilles, Swastika and many other piss take names... it worries me that some people genuinely consider things like Achilles in all seriousness!

Seriously? That's why they called her bean?? Geez!

My cousin was teaching in a primary school in a rough area of Glasgow and there was a child called Pocahontas and another one called Tia Maria!! FFS!!

Ben, Steven, Alex, Zac
Summer, Carmen, Rachael, Eva

We assosciate names with people and personalities so you're unlikely to like the name Ursula if you've come across one that's a grotty bastard.

Stacey. 29-09-2010 07:04 PM

Girls: Gemma, Hannah, Sarah, Katie.
Boys: James, Jack.

I knew what I was going to call my daughter from a very young age. I always wanted to be a Mum and the name was always in my mind

If I had any other children I like Finley-Joe for a boy and Ava-Olivia or Ava-Mae for a girl

King Gizzard 29-09-2010 10:20 PM

Elijah or Isaac for a boy

Or Kasai cause thats my middle name and I wish it was my first :(

Don't know about a girl

Tom 29-09-2010 10:24 PM

I'd love to call my kids after my mum but calling them Maggie and John is bordering on child abuse and her parents names aren't much better (Barry and Jane)

I hate this new trend of 'quirky' names, it just makes your kids sound retarded, my kids will just be called normal likes like Lewis, Joe etc

Kerry 29-09-2010 10:28 PM

'Old fashioned' names are back 'in' again at the moment. I know many Lily's, Holly's, Archies, Lukes etc

Think the worst I've heard is a 'Leandra'. Oh and a lad called 'Blade'

InOne 29-09-2010 10:31 PM

I quite like Marie for a girl. Dunno about boys

Stacey. 29-09-2010 10:33 PM

The weirdest name I've heard for a girl is "Lovely". :L

Jordan. 29-09-2010 10:33 PM

Boys: Thomas C
Girl: Marge
