Alex had a campaign against her

That is true.
Maybe Joe just wasn't that popular. *concedes*

The campaign for hers was to download a different version of Hallelujah, it reached #2 but Alex's sales still eclipsed it

But in that post it clearly says he didn't get to no. 1. He did.

Votes in the X Factor don't always translate into record sales. There have been more failed careers in the X Factor than successful ones.

Currently three X Factor artists are guarenteed to chart: Leona, Alexandra and JLS. That's a poor result.

Shaun 31-10-2010 08:41 PM

it's official.

The album got #3. Even Leon got #2.

Crimson Dynamo 02-11-2010 02:17 PM

nice guys need not apply to the music biz

Locke. 07-11-2010 06:22 PM

He got #3 last week with low sales compared to other winners, and has dropped to #20 this week :joker: :joker:

Novo 07-11-2010 06:23 PM

It is time for Olly to step in and take it from here

Locke. 10-11-2010 10:31 PM

Third week on the chart for his album and..... it isn't in the top 40 in the midweeks. :)

_Seth 10-11-2010 10:31 PM

Who cares about the single, he's released his CD (which I've bought). :)

cub 11-11-2010 10:32 AM

This time next year he'll have no record contract and be in the Jungle.

*Waves and points to Stacey Soloman!*

I like Joe don't see why people are so intent on him failing

Niamh. 11-11-2010 10:39 AM

aw poor old Joe, he has a lovely voice but I think, as they used to say when he was on X-factor he might be better suited to being in theatre or something. Olly was definitely more the pop star there and I'm loving his new single

fruit_cake 11-11-2010 10:45 AM

I thought Joe's ambitions was good.. Guess I'm in a minority

cub 22-11-2010 11:59 AM

Shayne Ward's single and album has also underachieved (you might say flopped). I think it might be an X Factor thing - having said that - JLS are no. 1.

M X 22-11-2010 12:59 PM

Poor Joe. :(

Stu 22-11-2010 01:49 PM

His an utterly boring vanilla midget. Anyone who sees him as having long term recording success is clearly suffering from delusions.

Locke. 12-12-2010 05:57 PM

His new single just went in at #60

cub 13-12-2010 07:05 PM

I think it was 68 wasn't it?

Locke. 13-12-2010 07:08 PM

Yeah was 68

Shaun 13-12-2010 07:09 PM

edited the thread title
