Neither are you, telling people they can't post certain gifs.

He represents the vast majority. If you put this to a poll it would be easy to see that.

The site is pretty slow for me sometimes. But I'm out in the woods on Windows 95, downloading crappy American television like The Real World and South Park.

Shaun 24-11-2010 07:32 PM

I'm not telling people they can't use them. Jesus. Do you even know what persuasion means?

Stop it = telling people to not do it, not persuading

I thought this was about the forum running slow, not about posting more gifs

when people post gifs it takes longer for pages to load, therfore making the forum slower. i dont know how many other ways you want people to say that before you get it?

Well disregarding all sorts of other obvious as hell answers ... it's because most people cannot stand the .gif's and get annoyed when the same few krazy kidz use them. That is the truth.

I do love when you try and go all political. Maybe it's best that you stick to the .gifs.

Shaun 24-11-2010 07:40 PM

Must you take everything literally?

I'm not TELLING everyone to stop doing it because I can't - I'm not a moderator - I'm making the point, which several other users in here have agreed with, that it's

a) boring
b) repetitive
c) lazy
d) slows the forum down

I've yet to hear any cohesive argument against ANY of these points.
This, dear, is an example of rhetoric. It's what makes an argument valid. Trust me, I'm not TELLING YOU what to do. I'm advising you from looking like any of a/b/c/d.

Yep, I'm getting tired of seeing the same few X Factor GIFs popping up everywhere, they just arent funny anymore (although I didnt find them that funny to begin with tbh) and they do slow my computer down

Malza 24-11-2010 07:43 PM

I would also not miss them at all... Less is more!

Braden 24-11-2010 07:47 PM

Yeah, I agree with the majority of members that X Factor gifs need to be tamed.

It's the same ones over and over again...If I see Cheryl Cole looking round with writing saying 'it's so stupid'. I might make my own gif...and it shall be a gif of me being rather angry.

For what its worth I run windows 7 and my laptop is pretty powerful and the forum gets slowed down for me. its not the computer that lags, its the web page.
