Gosh you dont suppose its all about America because the documents were from US sources, you know US diplomatic and US Intelligence assessments. They were US in origin, shared internally with the the US afministration, military and intelligence communities. Most were marked as being NORORN which means NO Foreign Nationals are to have access.

As for the content of the documents, of course they are going to point out the weaknesses and flaws in other countries administrations, except a lot of the flaws they point out are simply the opinions of the originating officers. Saying that though the documents didnt come from other countries like New Zealand or any other minor little country like Britain did they?

And in case you don't know, wikileaks has been around for quite a while, and it was only when he started focusing on America that he got news coverage. Thats not strictly true, in fact its complete and utter bollocks all previous leaked documents are available for download in an archived form.

The site itself claims this is because they have come under attack from "various" sources no doubt american in origin.

Consequently to ensure the site stays online they have removed other pages etc, so as to tighten the sites security and reduce the ability of hackers to take it down, and they now have the site set over a variety of mirrors etc

how convenient.

Like we needed him to tell us that? The leaked cables make everyone look bad. However, America has been putting the most pressure on countries to come up with some sort of charge against, Assange. It wasn't until he said that they were next going to start releasing stuff on the banks, which also means Wall Street, that people stood up and took notice. They have been more proactive at catching Assange, rather than Osama bin Laden. I wonder why.

Assange's charge all has to do with the fact that the woman charging him is saying that the condom broke. It's a phony lawsuit.
