Superior in every way, Matt's vocals are plain as hell. This is how you do Many of Horror.

King Gizzard 12-12-2010 10:30 PM

11k now  http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-aw...ar/18196047181

Jayson 12-12-2010 11:25 PM

Bought it, first time I've bought a song in years. Will be in the iTunes top 10 soon.

MTVN 12-12-2010 11:27 PM

They tried to do this when Alexandra released Hallelujah, I dont think this will work but it would be good if it got inside the top 5 or something

There was more publicity around RATM last year that I think alot of media will hop on the bandwagon and promote it more this time round

Yeah, that's true actually, although Hallelujah was a much bigger song than Many of Horror is. The Facebook group is gathering fans quickly though

King Gizzard 12-12-2010 11:36 PM

It got Jeff Buckley's version to number 2 and Leonard Cohen's version was in the top 40 as well I think

And because they thought they were being all rebellious and "sticking it to the man" :bored:

Yeah exactly, the Climb probably got just as many sales as it would have done anyway and RATM were on the same record label as Joe so the same people just got all the money still

He would have had to get permission from the artist to do this ,he mentions the band on his audio track so I presume they are hoping he has success with it too as he is a fan,so i cannot see why people are having a problem with it,he has done a good job of it and has brought the band into the spotlight,so surely all is good,he would also have to had permission to change the name.

King Gizzard 13-12-2010 12:56 AM

He doesnt mention the band name in the audio message, just seen it on youtube.

and it would be the labels decision to let XF have the song. Not the bands.

King Gizzard 15-12-2010 05:53 AM

Up to 5th in the itunes charts so at least it will be in the chart for christmas hopefully :)

And for the last time this isn't an attack of Matt Cardle or XF (well, the name change is stupid), its merely celebrating the people who wrote the song. I don't care who gets what money.

I didn't get mine from YouTube,it's on the download song, and he does mention the band,he has done quite a lot,why does he have to name them I think anyone who hasn't heard of these NOW must live in a cave and who do we have to thank for that:hugesmile:but does it really matter,he's covered a song and done a good job, simple as.Do you REALLY think it would have reached number 5 had it not been for Matt covering it?I think not.
