Very true :laugh: Although before they had the 5 day limit England once played South Africa for 12 days before they abandoned the match because the England team were going to miss the boat home! Probably why cricket seems so stupid to a lot of people, I'm watching it now, going to have to mix the Ashes with the football somehow :hugesmile:

Ever played subbetteo cricket Matt as a retro-game? My older brother taught me..............it was a game of our era even in Scotland because of the football (soccer) game. I was rubbish at setting the field oot but that didn't matter, I could take 6 wickets in 1 over (flick to kick = bowl) as just had the talent to do so (an 8 year old playing against my brother's 15 yeat old lads!

The County League generally ended-up with this sprog Ian 2nd against his pals and my older brother rubbish and out!

Yeah I think I know the one you mean, my mate had a version of it which was his dads, havent played in years now though, it was always a fun game from what I can remember though :D
