I doubt the kid will have as much play time and activities with his father, like kids with a "normal" age father.
He will probably lose his (one) father at the age of 20.

Of course there is no wrong or right age to get a child, but at that age you should know that it will very likely be a problem for the kid at some point.

Same goes for artificial insemination of women who, by nature, shouldn't get pregnant any more

Isn't David, his husband, quite a lot younger though?

I really don't see that as being an issue at all. Look at the amount of single mothers - and by that, I mean with absent fathers who have nothing at all to do with the child - or couples who divorce with one of the parents having very little to do with the child thereafter - that happens a lot.

There are also many children who lose a parent - through sickness, accident, job related (ie: armed forces).

My parents were mid 40's when they had me

Though they were both dead by the time I was ten......

Not age related though.

Lets face it, any parent in their 20's could be hit by a bus. Good luck to them

It was funny!

But I'm with you, good luck to them. They have a stable and loving partnership, they have now the time on their hands to truly devote to the child (particularly since Elton has 'retired' from the music industry as such), and the child will have the very best of everything. It's not the worst start to life, that's for sure.

No Baby Gils can Enter his Zone..

You have no proof or knowledge of that. You've obviously got a bee in your bonnet because he's gay and he's had a kid by a surrogate... so you're making it up as you go along.

Good luck to him.

Kerry 28-12-2010 09:05 PM

LOL Arista what do you think they did? Sieved the girl sperm out? :joker: The boy just swam quicker :D

Niamh. 28-12-2010 09:09 PM

Utter Fact.

I don't think it'd make a difference what gender child they had

Anyway, one to agree to disagree on. One of those that will just go around in circles :)

I carnt understand people saying good luck to them, why would anyone give a child to a fat old hasbeen pensioner like elton john,he will probably only see it 10 mins a week when he,s having his picture taken with it for the papers, the poor kid will end up a rich orphen
never knowing a mothers love, with more hang ups than a wardrobe.

Mother's love!!! Not all Mothers are loving. Tracey Connelly ring any bells with you? Karen Matthews perhaps?

Pfft.

Do you live in the dark ages? I was brought up by my father until the age of 10. I never felt I missed out

Life isn't all about perfection and a mum, dad and 2.4 kids you know?

Because him and his partner are obviously just rearing him just for the semi incestual threesome down the line like all other gay couples. Oh and it's a status symbol or something. Like cub said. And who would ever doubt cub. He was adopted. He knows what it feels like to have Elton John as your father and all of that, like.
