Go buy a pair of ears honey, you seriously need to.

Oh and to answer the question: Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and anything Disney related, metal fans who don't know what real metal is etc...

That 'Declaration of War' knob that was on YouTube a few months back is the perfect example of why his fans need to be put in a concentration camp.

The Beatles
I don't have a major problem with them really but their fans need to get their heads out of their arses and realise they aren't that bloody good, Jesus.
I'm not saying anyone is better than them or anything like that, I just think 'The Band That Changed Everything' slogan iTunes have going is very ridiculous.

Lady GaGa
I love Lady GaGa's music and I am a fan of hers but for God's sake, Her fans need to calm down aswell and stop referring to themselves as her 'Little Monsters' do they have any idea how ******ing stupid they look?
And the way they treat her like a God, I love her and think she could be as big as Madonna in a few years time sure, but I don't go around shoving it in everyone's faces and calling myself a 'Little Monster' or referring to her as 'Mamma Monster' I mean, Just cut yourselves.

Thing is they actually did, this is just ignorance on your behalf and maybe jealousy at them im not too sure. Just seems like you have a dislike for them with no apparent reason.

a hell of alot of bands would not be around today if it wasent for the beatles
they were one of the most important things to happen to music

They actually changed music tho. So did Elvis, Daft Punk and a few others.
These people made a revolution and created what we listen to today. You should be thankful for that.

Elvis, The Beatles & Michael Jackson. Three artists where quite frankly ones opinion just does not count.

And Kraftwerk, obviously. Who single handedly invented most of todays music .

To them, being a metal fan is having long hair, not taking showers, being a so-called rebel because they didn't empty the dishwasher and went back at 11:30pm instead of 11pm, wearing dark outfits and cutting themselves.

Morons.

Patrick 05-01-2011 05:00 PM

Jesus, Do you see what I mean?

I mention their name and already I'm being called 'Jealous'.

Iceman, I didn't say I don't like them.
I was surprised during The X Factor theme week of them, how much songs by them I liked in the past but didn't know they sang them.

It's just the same as Lady GaGa, I like her but the fan base is annoying.

And how exactly would I be jealous of them?
I don't inspire to be a singer or anything so It doesn't really bother me by how famous they are.

Karl / Remy, How exactly did they change music though?

Are you saying other bands got their sound or inspiration from The Beatles?

I'm not a fan of MJ because let's be realistic for a second: the guy was a genius, whether people like or not. His music doesn't appeal to me because I've got to recognize he made an impact. Period.

And I was looking for Kraftwerk, I just forgot the name :joker: But yeah, they did a great job too.

As for Elvis, my hero and my idol, not just for the music he made but for what he stood for, his whole philosophy and what he meant through his music. My latest tattoo (go check Facebook ) has my favourite title song from him "Burning Love". That may not be his best song, but it means a lot to me. And that's what made him special, to inspire people.

This is something I really cant stand.

Now, I'm not ignorant enough to claim that the beatles were nothing, and I know they are/always will be classed as legends...however, I do not personally like their music. I have ears...I just really find it crap. Not to my taste at all. Same with Elvis.

I hope they didn't go for the stereotypical Metal fan but I think they did.

It's not about liking them or not, it's about being realistic and objective. I've said earlier I didn't like Michael Jackson yet I have to recognize he changed a part of the music industry. I'm being real here, he did and so did the Beatles and Elvis.

Thats not quite what I said though...

I know they did a hell of a lot for the music industry, and would not say they were overrated...I just personally do not like their music (well, the music of theirs that I have heard)

Patrick The Beatles influenced everything from popular songwriting, to the way these songs were recorded and produced. They changed everything from a sonic level right down to a presentation level. They challenged the ideas and ideals of what a band was, they were hugely, hugely controversial, they mastered both writting charting pop songs and long, complex conceptual works of high experimentation. They even influenced the way album artwork was presented. The way rockstars lived their lives. The way touring was not always an option.

They practically invented a culture all on their own then brought it over to America for good measure. They have an entire Wikipedia article dedicated soley to their legacy and influence on popular culture.

Of course people are going to jump on you for showing unabashed displays of ignorance. You just asked someone to explain to you what infulence The Beatles had because you had no idea yourself yet you are also complaining about people who are calling you up on simply not knowing what you are talking about?

You can't have it both ways for christ sake, kid.

Most people who don't like their music are generally anyone who has never sat down with a pair of headphones, turned off their phone, fucked off from a Big Brother forum for at least an hour of their lives and listened from start to finish one of the bands later albums. Plenty of kidz also denounce their influence because it just seems like a cool thing to do. Schindlers List was boring, Jesus was an overrated cock, babies are not cute, The Beatles are not that good.

Going against the grain for the sake of it.

Callum 05-01-2011 05:15 PM

Justin Bieber fans, Jonas Brother fans

The worst fans are always either Brazilian or American

I was going to write a shorter version of it but way to go gardener!

And about Elvis, well, he didn't actually create the first type of Rock 'n' Roll (which was made for black people only) but he made his own version called "rockabilly" which inspired and influenced the next generations and is the essence of Rock 'n' Roll. Bow down to the King, bitches. Haters to the left. He's the best. Period.

-doesn't get how if you were around while Kurt Cobain was makes you a good fan or a bad fan if you weren't-

The ones that spring to mind that grind my gears are Lady Gaga, Radiohead, General 'don't listen to anything but metal' when it's not even metal technically douchebags and the pretentious classical loving bastards who claim Bach is the best ever.

MeMyselfAndI 05-01-2011 05:43 PM

I Totally aree with what patrick said, and everything is right. and people have proved it by defending the beatles straight away as soon as 1 post that is barely negative about them. Beatles fans are so defensive, and just like patrick said imo they changed nothing because they aren't that good espeacilly vocally (as patrick said). and yeah if im defensive of leona its like 'dont be so defensive' but with the beatles its exactly the same. Patrick i think your right
