Is that all?.. seems like a pretty good storyline if she kept it quiet for a bit

This thread is now officially pedantic and shit.

Please make your way to the nearest emergency exit points.

bbfan1991 06-01-2011 12:53 AM

I know Rita Simons is happy at Eastenders but if this is true (best to wait for a BBC source) then I could potentially see her going too because her and Sam are really close off screen too, that would mean Rob K coming back for her exit like he said he would:p.

Kerry 06-01-2011 12:53 AM

I hope it doesn't go on for long. I want Kat back with her baby

He is in the new Lord of the Rings, won't have time to act on a soap.

Can see why she quit I guess. That those few episodes were hard to watch, I mean just the glum and bleakness. And the New Years ep had far too many mistakes and was just far fetched. What really pissed me off was when Kat was like "That's not my baby" And Alfie was just been paronising towards her. They must've looked at the baby loads, I mean at least Alfie, not alll babies look totally the same, they'd know which is which.

Smithy 06-01-2011 10:43 AM

Not surprised tbh, poor woman hasn't had a decent (happy) storyline for as long as I can remember

She loses her baby to cot death then just spur of the moment decies to snatch another baby......

Exactly! If anything like that had happened to me the very last thing I would want is someone else's baby, and to not be screaming the place down the minute you realise your baby is dead is totally unrealistic and unbelievable - but that's soapland for you! Never mind the fact that several people saw baby Moon yet no-one noticed the dead baby was different in any way - never mind the club foot and probable different birth weights etc.

i was like who the **** is sam womack 0_o

then i remembered sam janus got married

fail.

bbfan1991 06-01-2011 12:32 PM

At this rate due to the controversy it will turn out that James is really live and also Ronnie was dreaming all that time then leaves and Kat will have Tommy back without knowing the truth because it will all be forgotten:rolleyes:.

flemin 06-01-2011 12:35 PM

I think all the people who are complaining about this are just jumping on the bandwagon now, like they did with that whole Ross/Brand saga.

bbfan1991 06-01-2011 12:37 PM

Hardly anyone complained about Lucas going around killing people last year and all of a sudden theres this big backlash, it is upsetting to watch this storyline but in a way it's ironic:joker:.

pinkmichk 06-01-2011 01:33 PM

about time she is a awful actress even without the awful storyline she in now

flamingGalah! 06-01-2011 02:30 PM

I don't blame her... It would be really draining for her to have to constantly act out these depressing storylines, it must have some effect on her if you have been crying for hours on set every day...

Also only 4000 people have actually complained, but as I understand it they have a base rate figure (similar to the BARB viewing figures) which equates to 1 x viewer complaint = X number of unhappy viewers... But I guess EastEnders knew this would happen & they did the storyline to shock & see the show hit the headlines anyway unfortunately...

Joe. 06-01-2011 02:44 PM

Awful storyline- absolutely stupid. Sam is a fantastic actress and Eastenders have lost her due to one stupid storyline. Typical.

Why would they need to do it for ratings:conf:, they consistently get high enough ratings as it is.

I agree all that depressing storylines must have had a right effect on her:shocked::(.

Shaun 06-01-2011 02:46 PM

Good on her. This storyline is just horrific...it would never happen in normal life. There's dramatic storylines and then there's morbid sensationalism.

Jords 06-01-2011 03:14 PM

The storyline is awful (in terms of morals etc.) but now its done they should do the best with it, has a lot of potential. Loved Ronnie's character, but the big mistake with her is that they 'never wanted her to be happy for too long', as said on a BBC3 spin-off. WHY?

Anyway, wish Sam the best, great actress! Too major losses to EE and Corrie today.
