Americans are such wimps!

Do you have a rebuttal? or is a silly little cartoon emoticon the best you can come up with?

I don't need a rebuttal. Don't be so characteristically abrasive, Yank. Many of those things you listed are sheer matter of opinion. America has certainly not produced the vast majority of cream of the crop scientists, the UK has the title for 'most invented', dozens of better healthcare systems exist in the world than America's, and I personally prefer all of the UK's art, music and literature. Film I will give you.

You are doing a wonderful job of demonstrating why I would rather live in Canada than the UK. I can take my American movies with me in a hard drive. The general mindset of the people and their attitude to life is a little bit more difficult though. I find too high a proportion - too high, not all - of Americans to be distant, dehumanized, utterly plastic, egotistical fucktards to ever consider living their. I find most Irish people to be close minded, ignorant, gossip obsessed closet racists if that balances it out for you and you think I am simply attacking a country for the heck of it.

Canadians and Brits are just as fat as Americans, so plz don't rtry to use the obesity thing. Srsly, it would be pathetic. All modern prosperous countries have obesity issues.

A Brit calling an American fat, would be like Vanessa Feltz calling Dawn French a fatty.

Ok so basically you've just said, you' love the UK and hate everything that's not british, but you'd prefer CANADA TO AMERICA, CAUSE ATLEAST YOU CAN STILL FEEL SUPEWRIOR IN CANADA.

OKAY, BUT STILL, BRITAIN IS SMALL, AND INSIGNIFICANT

oops, just realized i accidentally hit that caps button...
but anyways, America is the most power and prosperous country in the history of the world, and you hate that.

You love Britain.

Noted and Recorded. Fantastic for you. The rest of the world gets a say too though.

LOL mate - we do this quite often in each other's countrys in Europe

In Edinburgh it is illegal to drink alcohol in public - so when my German pals were drinking alcohol it the public park I just told them to remember they couldn't speak english when the police arrived and I'd do the pretend interpret (I can't really speak Deutsch!)

I am being schooled by the master of the rebuttal it would seem. Nothing to say for America not having the best healthcare system in the world or the highest proportion of groundbreaking scientists and inventions in the world? Nothing to say for acknowledging that art, literature, music and film are merely a matter of opinion? Nothing to say to either take back or expand on your bold 'AMERICA DOES ALL THESE BETTER THAN ANYBODY ELSE' claptrap?

Just an illogical, downright bizarre post full of rambling, poorly typed assumptions. A true product of the worlds greatest education system!

Almost Lee - it was bluddy roasting in Mauritius when I left so you tend to forget that Paris is gonna be freezing and have to sit there for 4 hours with 0 to do except shiver! I called ahead to get my dad to come to EDI with a cosy jacket!

lostalex 12-01-2011 03:04 PM

Who cares about ranking? All developed countries have obesity epidemics. For any european opr North American countries to trade insults about fattness, is dumb. We're all fat. SO what.

I'm not fat, but i don't have a problem with fat people. I know lots of awesome fat people.

Being anti-fat people is no different than racism or homophobia. Just live yur life, and be kind to people. WHo cares if they are fat??

My brother is a little bit fat, and he's the most awesome person in the world.
