ROFL.

I did it the first few times for him but then it got abit annoying and it looked kind of awkward so I just sort of tried to avoid him around Half 3 when the bell rings lmfao.

This'll sound odd. It's quite hard to explain.

Sometimes I will move my feet or my legs in a weird pattern. Like, say I flick my left foot forward randomly. I then have to do my right. And then I do that again in the reverse order. I keep doing this until I lose track of which order I started in/I think "what the **** are you doing?" :p

Always 3 sprays of aftershave.

I mess my hair up if I'm nervous.

I won't pee at a urinal, and in a cubicle I aim for the sides of the toilet bowl because I hate making a noise.

When making tea I stir clockwise and then one stir counter-clockwise.

I only read in the bath.

- I drank water from a glass that had an awful soapy taste still from when it had been washed. Ever since, I always need to rinse the cup/glass several times before drinking.
- The volume has to be an even number.
- If I ever turn around the full 360 degrees (even sat on a swivel chair) I always have to turn 360 degrees back the other way like I'm unwinding myself. lol
- I always sleep with one hand under the pillow and in the fetal position.
- I pick the dry skin from my bottom lip to the point it starts bleeding. Sounds gross but I like it.
- At work, my desk has to be ordered with things in the correct place. Pen kept on the top of my keyboard, drawers locked until I need to go in them, paper etc in my trays have to be neat. I get wound up when I come in after a few days off and see someone's sat at my desk, my pen's missing, drawers unlocked etc.

Can't think of anymore.

I was the same as a kid. If I walked around a tree I'd have to walk back around the other way. Or if I spun in a circle I'd have to spin back :joker:

And another one is my desktop has to be completely clear. It makes me stressed out if I have a load of random files all over the place in no order or with no clear labels.
Unlike my cousin who always keeps every single thing on the computer to the point it runs at a snails pace. I have to delete things I don't use.

You do that too?
I've finally found someone else that does this!

Going by a lot of replies on this thread, people seem to be getting confused by a complusion/obsession - and thinking of (good or bad)habits instead.

Not at all...... there is a MASSIVE difference in an everyday, normal habit, and having OCD or a weird compulsion.

oh...and it's Ms.

I have to delete recorded stuff off Sky+ once watched. It bugs me if it's not gone right away

Harry! 07-02-2011 06:07 PM

Me downloading videos over the last 25 days /joke.

Seriously I have loads way to many to mention.

Mr XcX 07-02-2011 07:08 PM

I love cleaning my house and my garden is nice and proper.

Stacey. 07-02-2011 07:29 PM

-Always have to wash my hands at least once before I eat or something
-Checking my alarm about 5 times to make sure it's switched on and set at the right time
-When I'm not watching the telly, it has to be turned right down to 0 volume aswell as being muted
-When I eat crisps I have to touch the bottom of the bag inside twice before they're "finished"
-Sometimes count how many times I chew
-Count how many steps I do, and if there's like squares, I have to step between them both with my left and right foot
-When I glue something, all the corners have to be stuck down properly
-All my pictures folders have to be named in the same way
-I have to sit on the right side of a bus
-Have to wash out a glass with water about 3 times before I pour an actual drink in it

There's probs loads more too. *feels seriously ocd* D:

Judas 07-02-2011 07:37 PM

- Always have to tap my cigarettes up and down 2 times on each side... so it doesn't even 'level them'...
-Same with the water and glass, just not any other drink.

This is exactly the same as me, I double check the knobs on the cooker/oven to make sure they're definitely off before I leave the house, it's so annoying but I just can't leave my house unless I know EVERYTHING that should be off, is definitely off.

I used to be worse when younger, there was a stage that whatever I did with my right side I had to do with my left. If I touched something I had to touch it with both hands and at an even amount of times. Brushing up something with me left side Id have to turn the other way and brush up with my right, stepping on cracks with left and right feet etc.

Im like that with my work, im paranoid i'll lose it all.
And I used to have a phase like that, was stupid lol

My mum drives me mad doing that. She's constantly wiping things off and then innocently says "Oh, I thought you'd watched it".

That's quite a weird one, lol.

I have a specific outfit that I always wear if I'm hungover, including socks.
When I have coloured sweets I like to line them up to see which comes up the most and least.

Mac Hiavellian 11-02-2011 06:35 PM

Absolutely cannot touch ketchup. If I'm doing the washing I have to rinse it down the sink before putting the 'contaminated' plate in the bowl with everything else.

I have to click some of my joints and readjust my neck and spine or else I just don't feel comfortable.

I like things to go in even numbers. Usually 8s or 16s?

I bite and/or lick my lips.

I don't like hugs or intimate touching unless I really trust that person.

I always have to sleep with my door closed.

I like to have everything around me kept neat, except ironically my room is a right state.

I used to be a lot worse though, when I was younger I would repeat slogans from TV ads to myself, feel the need to press my palms against sharp corners or blunt objects, always check my wardrobe before going to bed, used to bite my nails and used to pull out individual head hairs

Suze 12-02-2011 12:29 PM

Suddenly after reading this thread, I don't feel so ....... ummm, unusual now :joker: *Goes back and makes sure there are seven dots between the so and ummm*
