Arsed arguing with people over humour, I'd obviously find it amusing if she said the wrong name too, I was just making the point that I think it's disrespectful to wish bad things to happen to them on their wedding day, I'm not some kind of humourless Royalist, I just think common decency is generally a nice thing to have, and don't understand why people moan about a lack of British identity and then say they don't care about a Royal wedding when one of Britain's main cultural talking points is our Royal family, in that lots of tourists travel to see Windsor, Balmoral and all the other buildings attached to the Royal Family. Meh.

Patrick the Royal Wedding is on the 29th April (Friday) and they are legally allowed to divorce.

Doubt you'll find many people who moan about lack of British identity that aren't watching the wedding, most who do that are generally Daily Mail pro-Royal types.

Anyway, I dont care about it. I'm not that bothered about the Royal Family really, in theory I'm against them but dont really mind them, I'm pretty indifferent on the whole.

Im well excited for the royal wedding

GypsyGoth 24-04-2011 11:23 PM

I'm going to watch loads of the live footage, not so much of the build up.

joeysteele 24-04-2011 11:27 PM

I wish them well as I said before, but I don't see why it needs to be so grand, I mean what a family anyway, Prince Andrew can be there with his 2 daughters but not their Mother Sarah. Had Diana been alive they likely would not have wanted her there either.

There is not a good example being set to the rest of us either as to tightening our belts financially or showing respect to others.

I likely will catch some of it, but it won't be a priority for me.

I live half hours train ride from London, so we usually get their weather. We have been forecast showers and thunderstorms for the last few days, yet have had neither. So they might be lucky and avoid the showers for their wedding day. If not, then those crowds lining the streets will get soaked

arista 25-04-2011 05:26 PM

Perfect for USA TV News stream
as they think London has Rain every other day.

Pyramid* 25-04-2011 05:49 PM

I'm not that perturbed either way - I am very happy that it saves me using up one of my annual holidays though as I'll be away from the wedding madness come Friday!!
