About 20-30 and thats because they are my to read next list once ive read a book it either goes to the charity shop or i give it away.
I dont see the point in hoarding books that ive already read.

Livia 10-06-2011 01:17 PM

I've got thousands of books. I've still got almost every book I've ever had and I re-read them constantly.

Boothy 10-06-2011 01:32 PM

I have about 20.

I think about 700. I miscalculated at first because I haven't enough bookshelves and so most of them are doubled up.

Crimson Dynamo 03-01-2015 05:22 PM

I just put a full mailsack of books in my wheely bin.

What does 'stop bumping old threads' mean?
I'm not being sarcastic. I'm a wrinkly, who has only been using a computer for a short while and a lot of the jargon used on these sites leaves me completely baffled.

Would you rather they make new threads on topics that clearly already have threads that can be added to?

could you not have donated them to the hospital or the hairdressers or something, or even sell the bag to a car booter?? what a waste

not many as I never re read books so generally give them to a charity shop or to the jumble sale.

Ditto - only I haven't now thousands but over a thousand I should think.

Stop being so rude. This thread was bumped by a newer forum member that actually had something of worth to add to the topic.

I throw away hundreds of books a month and no - they are paperbacks and have no value. If fact they often clogg up charity shops

Josy 04-01-2015 05:42 PM

I am back to having around 500 or so again. I'm going to take some more boxes to the charity shop though.

Why no value even if just sold for 20p or less, my sons barber has a load of books they loan out for 1.00, they have given over 1500 pounds to the disabled veterans club across the street, at least put them in recycling :fist:

Shaun 04-01-2015 07:57 PM

Still only about 100  storage is a problem, although I do give old ones I don't really care much about (like your fluffy Patterson thrillers) to charity.

Xtopher 06-01-2015 01:53 PM

Umm, about 80.

Niamh. 06-01-2015 01:57 PM

Not many tbh, I usually give them away once I'm finished reading them, I would very rarely re read a book, no matter how good I thought it was

joe199998293 06-01-2015 02:32 PM

On the shelf in my bedroom I have around 12. Although I have lots more on my Kindle and iBooks.
