The only people that Simon allows himself to be dictated to are the Americans though, he is always on about the States and he would never cross the American producers for his shows.

If this is true and she was dropped, then likely he was given his way initially to have her included but they haven't liked what they've seen and heard of Cheryl Cole and now he is overruled, for his prestige in the States he would accept that and allow even her to be dropped,I am sure of that.

Cheryl hates criticism of herself, although she likes to dish it out in big measure. She's not homesick, she's rarely in the UK anyway.

Great news to read first thing as I wake up.

Still no reponse from X Factor HQ? Doesn't look good.

Indeed:D.

Might be a publicity stunt by Simon so she returns to XF UK with her tail between her legs, karma that she isn't his favourite lapdog anymore and that he chews people then spits them out. Silly bint!

BringItOn 26-05-2011 10:14 AM

Oh great, I was looking forward to our X Factor with all new judges and shes bound to come back now :/

_Seth 26-05-2011 10:32 AM

If this is true, then woah! I do actually feel for her. =/ I wonder how they're gonna cover it in the episodes. Will they edit her out? Or show her and then say that she's just left?

Who are they and how would they get in the way anything Cheryl does?

That Show is Big Money into it
so Dropping her was Fast
and Fair.
The Yanks need to be able to understand her voice
she failed at that.

"Why-I Pet"

she may grunt

Iceman 26-05-2011 11:20 AM

Both shows are gonna fail there was nothing wrong with UK XF for the past 3 years.....Cheryl will come back, cry and you will take her back yet again.

Well, if they have contracts signed then obviously they must go ahead with Kelly and Tulisa. I don't know how to put it more simply.

Iceman 26-05-2011 12:50 PM

The more I think about it, the more I think its a big set up, its garnered loads of attention for both shows and they can now go with the "She's Back" angle for the UK, she's dipped her toe in America and they've said "nah, you're alright", she'll fly home to the UK and stay on that show for a few more years...

Considering we're talking about someone being axed from the US version I'd say they have very simple get out clauses.

I believe I did read there was a 'get out' clause in Cheryl's contract because of concerns over the accent. If Tulisa and/or Kelly have these, then you're right. We will have to see what happens next.

I can see Kelly have a more securely tight contract - Tulisa (because of fears over her potentially potty mouth) may not. If Cheryl was to come back then it's more likely she's take over Tulisa's chair.

I'm more concerned that Dannii's not returning than 'Cherylgate' to be honest. I can see Kelly Rowland being very 'nice' and rather bland. I think she will bore viewers frankly

Braden 26-05-2011 02:10 PM

so embarassing. When I read the story I actually couldn't believe it, it's the last thing I would of thought to have happened. Why would they get rid of her know because of her thick Geordie accent, it's not like they didn't know she had one to begin with.

Z 26-05-2011 02:17 PM

Kelly Rowland would be a dull judge, I'd rather see Tulisa take over Dannii's position than Kelly if either of those are genuine options; it's pretty insane how this has all blown up in the media, there's been virtually no response from anyone from the X Factor, it's all speculation that's been accepted as fact.

I agree with you on all points.

I do now believe it to be true. I did question the one 'souce' yesterday, but no immediate denial speaks volumes to me. I imagine there is frantic work behind the scenes ready to do either some damage limitation ("Cheryl is homesick!" "Cheryl has come back to 'save' the UK X Factor!") or they may just hold their hands up and admit Cheryl's introduction into US culture been a complete car crash.

When the X Factor is finally shown in the US I imagine that they will erase her completely from all footage. Which may be why they've acted so quickly in dumping her.

Tom4784 26-05-2011 02:53 PM

She'll come running back to the UK one with her tail between her legs sadly. I wish the US kept her.

Yes she is. She's the front woman of the Pussycat Dolls, which were/are huge in the US.

joeysteele 26-05-2011 02:59 PM

I doubt it was just the accent thing with Cheryl Cole and the USA,they likely disliked most of what they know and have learned about her, plus her attitude too.

LaLaLand 26-05-2011 04:04 PM

Lol, I was grinning like mad reading this! She shouldn't be welcomed back onto our series unless she's replacing Tulisa and Kelly Rowland stays on panel.

Stevep 26-05-2011 04:11 PM

Knowing Simon and his love for controversy (bad press is good press), wouldn't be surprised if this was all planned!

Smithy 26-05-2011 04:26 PM

ahahahahaha watch her come crawling back now

Who is Tulisa? I've never heard of her or Kelly Rowland being judges. =/

There's no way they would or even be able to do this. Would they just never show shots of all 3 judges at once or something? What if Cheryl's arm is in a good shot or something?

Not having chemistry with someone doesn't mean they don't like each other. It just means they don't have that "spark" that makes them a watchable duo.

Like Louis and Sharon always "clicked".

Marsh. 26-05-2011 05:19 PM

Why are people being so cruel about "turning her back on the UK", "she'll come crawling back" etc as though she abandoned you personally? Lol, get over it.

Fgs, the girl had an opportunity to try something huge in America. It may have gone to pot now, but at least she had the balls to give it a go.

The executive at Fox are the idiots, shouldn't have hired her in the first place if they don't like her or fear her accent's too thick. Complete waste of time. Although wouldn't surprise me if it was done just for the sake of the annual "X Factor UK disaster" like last years autotune fiasco.

james130 26-05-2011 05:37 PM

Fat lazy Americans cba to decipher what she's saying.
