How selfish have you got to be to take your baby to a restaurant at 10pm and then sit idly by while it screams the place down.

Yeah, I agree, I mean I don't mind kids being in Pubs during the day but at night isn't really appropriate imo. And yeah the major problem in general is that parents don't do enough parenting anymore.

The worst thing is when kids are at a pool table, even WHEN there is a sign. Throwing balls about, messing up the cues and cloth :bored:

OMG I really really hate that.

Or if you are in the middle of a game and they just toddle over and pick up the black or something :bored:

Then the parents sit laughing saying ahh how cute :bored:

Isnt it up to the pubs in this country, I know some just dont allow kids at all and some ask for them to be in no later than 9pm or something like that

It's the law here that kids have to be out of pubs by 8 or 9pm

Yeah, you try ask the nicely to stop and it and the parents get right nasty. Like saying "He's only messing about" in that snidey tone. I've got to say it's the mothers who are worst for it.

I also hate when parents try hurry you up, just so their little snot can play :bored:

I just deathstare the parents for a while, and hope they get the message and tell the kid to stop(asking the kid never works, you just get a giggle or something and that irritates me more) and if they dont after a while...I will say very loudly 'excuse me, would you mind sorting your kid out, we are trying to play here' or something. Usually it embarrasses them into doing something, sometimes they even drink up and leave :D

Niall...about the plane thing, its so annoying yes. But sometimes unavoidable. When we went to florida there was a very young baby on our plane screaming the whole way. The mother or father did nothing to attempt to pacify the child. And only fed it once suring the 8/9 hour flight flight too(evidently the only half hour when it was quiet) I felt like going over and throttling them, obviously it was in distress/hungry/whatever and they just didnt care

Yeah thats what I thought about the baby crying on the plane I was on. The parents didn't seem to be doing anything to soothe the poor kid. It cried almost solidly for 9 hours. O__O
