Poor Shaun

I'm delighted with the result as a United fan but do have sympathy for the Arsenal fans because the rivalry from years ago used to be so exciting and now it's almost non existent due to the rise of City, Chelsea challenging as usual and Liverpool being a force again.

Arsene Wenger looks drained, he has responsibility for the state of the club but it's not just him because the board and most of all the players have to take the blame too.

Shaun 28-08-2011 05:30 PM

jesus christ :o just seen the result.

I cannot even begin to defend Wenger for that.

Captain.Remy 28-08-2011 06:05 PM

I've always been a Manchester fan anyway.

SO GO GUYS!

But other than that, what's Arsenal's problem recently? Not being able to do anything right. I mean, come on, 8 to 2 ?

I wonder what the invincibles think of this current Arsenal squad Shaun? They sure as hell wouldn't have took any crap and it's sad to see.

How are Arsenal meant to sign world class players in this shambles? Most of them want to go to Barcelona, Madrid, United, Chelsea, Man City or the Milan clubs etc...

Arsenal not selling Cesc and Nasri earlier in the summer, so they had time to pinpoint good replacements, will ultimately, in my eyes, cost Arsenal this season.

GiRTh 02-09-2011 12:35 PM

Got to see if these buys are panic buys or are Arsenal changing their policy in the transfer market.

Every one can see that 'Project youth' has been a huge flop. Not enough players are coming thru at the right time and the ones that do come thru have a couple of decent seasons, catch the eye of the big money clubs in Europe and leave. It simply is not working.

Maybe its time to sign more experienced players who probably have never played at a club the size of Arsenal. Players who, for want of a better word, are a bit desperate and will probably be loyal. We'll have to wait and see.

bbfan1991 02-09-2011 12:50 PM

The thing is Wenger is so stubborn it frustrates the Arsenal fans, well that is my view as an outsider.

At least he saw sense this time to actually buy some experienced players at the end instead of the usual younger players/Ligue 1 stars LOL:laugh2:.

I've got a feeling this will be a tough season still for Arsenal.

Totally agree.

I have a feeling Arsenal are going to do well in one of the cups and that will redeem Wenger. We've got no chance in the league. I dont even think we'll finish in the Europa league places.

Spot on there, imo.

It seems Arsenal's wage structure has also denied them signing top players.

It seems like when we beat Arsenal in the Carling Cup final last season that the Arsenal team has lost there confidence.

Gosh we really have put a curse on the Arsenal squad,as there losing at home to Shrewsbury.:joker:

Dont worry though Arsenal fans,Birmingham will get whacked tommorrow as Chris Hughton wants us to go hard on the championship teams.

Locke. 20-09-2011 07:12 PM

Not one player on the bench that will come on and change the game either

bbfan1991 02-10-2011 06:26 PM

Arsenal lost 2-1 to Spurs. Arsenal 15th in the table on 7 points and 12 points gap between them and the 2 Manchester clubs already with Chelsea just behind.

Bacary Sagna suffered from a broken fibula so that is him out for 9-12 weeks. Jack Wilshere has been moaning on Twitter too.

What a shambles, looks like Wenger is running out of excuses and his side need more defensive training than before.

Mystic Mock 03-10-2011 01:42 AM

TBF Tottenham are a tough team to beat at White Heart Lane.
