Pretty much shows BB up when the interviewee has more experience in interviews than the actual interviewer himself.

No wonder he ran off, Tara destroyed him :joker:

the finger wag was the best bit of the interview!!!:joker:

if she couldn't handle seeing herself in a not so perfect light: she shouldn't have gone on the show, as far as I'm concerned.

CaudleHalbard 03-09-2011 01:46 PM

Tara was any interviewer's nightmare. I doubt Davina would have done any better - she probably have resorted to gurning to fill in the gaps! :D

so true!!

I loved Brian pointing out that the VT Tara had been shown earlier DID show a fun element to her: funny that she didn't take exception to those little clips - only to the ones she 'didn't like'.

Awww poor Tara... diddums. :joker:

Jordan. 03-09-2011 01:51 PM

Just thought now if they didn't show her best bits right at the start of the interview when they had to interrupt her because she mentioned 'what was shown' it wouldn't have ended as awkward as it did.

InOne 03-09-2011 01:59 PM

Brian was most likely star struck by Tara, so was probably a bit nervous anyway

CaudleHalbard 03-09-2011 02:00 PM

You can't design a show around someone whose brain has been scrambled by years of drugs and alcohol abuse. There was a limited time for the interview and time ran out............ and so did Brian! :D

And no doubt some would have complained that they did it that way around ..... It wouldn't have ended as it did, most likely. But isn't that the very thing that BB fans want..... controversy, bit of stirring etc..... otherwise people would then comment then that it's boring!!!

It's scenario of not being able to please all the people all of the time: and that's the way it should be.

Nothing like a hefty dose of the truth to balance things!!!

It is a live show and these things happen, I still think it put her in her place... when she was left sitting there with the surprised look on her face, mouth catching flies: brilliant!!:joker:

Brian was incredibly unproffessional, he could have taken a few seconds to wrap it up as the producers have made him and themselves look stupid by just having him run away from her.

Vicky. 03-09-2011 02:34 PM

OK last night I was agreeing with her about the editing. However, we have seen a LOT more than she has. How on earth did she come to the conclusion from a 2 minute clip, that she had been badly edited and thats why she was out?

Just seems paranoid and unable to accept that she is not as popular as she thought to me :/

He could have... this may be true.... but how do any of us know he was not 'told' to act as he did.... who is to say he didn't get the old, "Just walk away now... we're running out of time to wrap up" shouted through his earpiece.

Totally agree. She didn't complain with the first set of clips showing her in a good light: but had the petted lip on when she was shown the other side of her.

I agree totally with your last paragraph. 100%.

Jords 03-09-2011 03:06 PM

Showed no respect (for Tara or himself), **** presenter.

james130 03-09-2011 08:29 PM

This is why they should end with best bits so it's on a positive.

plenty of other housemates in the past had a hell of a lot worse interviews -and far more unfairly nasty clips shown - than Tara's. She made a big deal over not a lot.

rsefitpro2011 03-09-2011 08:50 PM

In fairness to Tara, Brian never let her give an answer. However I think Brian just left as he had so many seconds left of the show. Remember Davinas done that in the past so I don't think he was running away from her!

True, very true.

People want LIVE shows, and when they get them: and this type of thing happens: suddenly the live shows that they wanted, no longer seem as ideal.

Davina has indeed done very much the same thing - it's hardly as though Brian is some sort of devil incarnate for having to stick to a strict and tight time schedule.

lostalex 03-09-2011 09:16 PM

Brian did Not handle Tara.... Tara handled Brian lol

Davina was a right gurner but she proved time and time again that when it came down to it she could be serious and handle tough situations in live TV. Just look at the interview during CBB5 (race row), interview with Makosi etc. Brian is just a camp fluff ball full of nerves. Imagine him in those situations.

I find it hard to believe that. They would always be informing Brian of how much time he has for a segment, how long he has left. It's down to him to use his skills to move things along and do it on time. If he left it so late that he had nothing else to do but jump up and run out the door then it's still his fault. A more experienced presenter is needed, not an overinflated ego because they won a previous series.

IIRC, Davina pumped up the audience into a complete hate fest for Makosi - to the point that even those viewers who didn't like Makosi (I was one), thought it was an absolute disgrace the way Davina allowed that interview to go the way it did.

hardly what I would class as a professional if we're going to break it down to that.

Davina was far from perfect when she first started out and made many a blunder along her well worn path until she gained some real experience under her belt.

Exactly, and no matter how many times she said "you know", I never knew! She didn't make any sense when she spoke.

camille 04-09-2011 01:48 PM

She was a terrible interviewee even having to listen to her was bloody hard work.

CaudleHalbard 04-09-2011 01:49 PM

Tara Who?

I've forgotten about her already! :D
