But it's celebrity news at the end of the day Pyramid. It's pointless to continue going on about it.

Madonna gets a shrub she doesn't like and is overheard making a comment. And there is it, nestling amongst "Ground Zero Mosque" and "Judge gives Squatters the go-ahead". It is out of place.

Respectfully Livia, rather than complaining about the set up of the forum on this thread.... perhaps that something you should take up with the mods/admin? It was a news story, taken from a newspaper and therefore, was placed in an appropriate secton.

I don't make the forum sections or sub-sections up. If you don't like the content of the thread in comparion to what else is going on in the world, there's no need to post in it or mock it.

It very much seems that MTVN took the opportunity to move it from one appropriate section to another equally appropriate section out of nothing more than sheer pedantry. and yes, it is pointless to debate about that aspect.

Why are you trying to make something out of nothing? It got moved, deal with it and drop it.

Niamh. 06-09-2011 02:58 PM

Pyramid, it's not exactly a serious news article, it's about some flowers fgs

Go back and check my edit ..... posted before you posted this I believe.

no need for all the bold fgs stuff Niamh... it's hardly my fault that admin decided to merge a very broad suject that covers many things, into the Serious Debates side. funny how Livia can make several comments about the same matter and get backed up: I do it and shot down.

MTVN 06-09-2011 03:02 PM

Oh well I didn't expect that to cause a fuss

The article was a news story about a celebrity i.e. celebrity news. If you would take a look at the link that Smithy posted you might see why the "Serious debates and news" section was not the most appropriate place

Sigh........

InOne 06-09-2011 03:05 PM

She is old enough and rich enough not to really care about anything these days.

No need to sigh, I moved the thread so just felt like I owed an explanation seeing as you seemed to think it was done out of "sheer pedantry"

And in most cases, I would be in agreement that would be fair enough.

I simply found the crassness, complete disregard after a kind gesture by a fan, ignorant beyond belief.

The sigh was relating to you not dropping the sujbect MTVN - as Dezzy suggested, along with Niamh....and the fact that you brought it back on board again.

I have to laugh at people saying "at least she's honest". How is making the bitchy comment behind the back of the person being honest?

Nice of her to be polite to the person's face and say thank you but then again she's always been a high and mighty bitch.

The one thing that annoys me in that video is that she's still clinging onto that awful fake accent she likes to think is British.

Marc 06-09-2011 05:40 PM

Should have given her a time bomb and ran.

Zippy 06-09-2011 05:50 PM

she didnt make a bitchy comment she just says she hates those flowers and then added that he obviously doesnt know that. She was polite and gracious to the fan. Her comment was about the flower not the fan.

and Im not even talking to Madonna haters because you'll think the worst regardless. Ho-hum.

fruit_cake 06-09-2011 05:55 PM

seems to me that it was more important to her to state her loathing for hydrangeas than it was to be pleased a fan had taken the time to give her the flower.

Marsh. 06-09-2011 05:55 PM

The way she said "He obviously doesn't know that" sounded a bit like she expected him to know that as her fan. Making it seem bitchy.

But that fake accent riles me up, does she actually listen to herself on recording talking like that?

she said thanks, accepted the flower and put it out of the way, and whilst doing so: turned to the person to her left, check her eyes, the flicker of the raised eyebrows, the mocking gesture of her mouth - subtle but unmistakable - to the person on her left. She then turned to her right, gave her verbal comment to the person on her right..... and it was the person on her right to whom she was speaking: that said, "He obviously doesn't know that".

Mmmm.... now... Im not sure.....if it was her own voice or not? Anyway: she's still a boot for being so rude.

Doogle 06-09-2011 06:21 PM

She could've just kept that to herself. She didn't need to do that. She was probably grateful for the gesture but that was a bit rude of her, even if they were out of sight.

regardless, her disdain was clearly aimed at the flowers not the fan. The fan had turned their back to walk away at that point so she in no way meant any offense to them.

but continue making a mountain out of a mole hill as you usually do.

And if this minor incident has put you off her then you really can't be much of a fan in the first place, frankly.

joeysteele 06-09-2011 06:39 PM

Madonna has always been a little volatile, I think that maybe she could have waited until later to comment but I doubt she cares much what people think.

She remains top of her game and her fantastic music really does her talking for her.

She even once upset the Vatican in Rome so she certainly will not be bothered as to this and we all make slip ups now and again.

She's an actress and a Singer who is brilliant at both those things she does.

I'd appreciate if you could stick to the topic of the thread - rather than me personally Zippy. thanks.

Smithy 06-09-2011 07:25 PM

If I ever see madonna in person, I shall happy slap her for you pyramid

Jords 06-09-2011 07:27 PM

'he obviously doesnt know that' :hmph:

Toffee nose bitch.
