I would if I saw any HMs as role models but I don't :idc:

Isn't this thread about you trying to understand why people like Alex - why are you turning it around on another forum member? :conf:

I don't really understand what you are saying..it seems like your trying to score a point by sticking up for someone in conversation that you were not involced in.

If you don't like this thread, don't post in it, leave me alone and start your own thread, Pyramid. I have been quite appreciative and acknowledging of the other Alex fans so far as far as I can see. I don't have any problem with Alex and having read what is said I can now see there are things that are nice about her.

The only one that appears to have a problem with that is yourself, and lets face it, your not even an Alex fan really are you.

I asked you a simple question which you have chosen not to answer - which you are at liberty to if you don't wish to.

With regards to your comment about my thoughts on Alex - given that you were an a thread with Alex's mum - telling her that you effectively didn't believe her when she said Alex didn't drink or smoke - you'll recall I said that I felt Alex should at least be deserving of being in the final three. I'd pretty much say that speaks for itself as far as my support for Alex goes......wouldn't you.

Therefore I have every right to post in this thread.

Alex will win Big Brother, she hasn't done anything to cause offence to anyone, and unless she starts causing some kind of controversy, I can't really see past her for the BB prize.

The public always vote for the nice, non controversial, housemates and Alex ticks all the boxes.

The other thing is: she takes the rise out of all the housemates - in front of them and it's taken in good spirit - the last I remember was when she was outside sitting with Jay who had a face like fizz over Aaron not speaking to him - and Alex said she'd have the conversation for both of them: then began mimicking Jay moaning!

She's so liked that he even found it funny - despite him being in a strop.

She's a listening ear for Louise as well - who really has no real mates in the house - certainly not female ones.

It's a shame you've taken this aggresive stance again. I have no wish to argue with you, and I hope the others that your constantly arguing with also do the same. I won't say anything else on the matter.

No aggressive stance here fruit_cake. I'm doing nothing more than show you that I have indeed been a fan of Alex, and provided you with plenty of what you asked for..... reasons as to why I like Alex - which is exactly the purpose of this thread.

What a huge generalization that is and doesn't apply in my case nor will it in many many others!

I try to support my housemates because they challenge me to better myself

i support housemates because they entertain me not to try better myself, i couldn't be any better :D i jest but it's only a tv show after all!

I am not sure how they would shoehorn more of Alex into the Jay Show tbh.

You don't get Alex, we get that.

Others do though.

Others find her a funny, charming, infectious ray of sunshine in a pretty dark house this year. To others she is amazing for rising above the petty squabbles and vileness we have seen from others (that apparently count's as 'doing something' to most) and maintaining a positive fun attitude to what is meant, on some level, to be a fun show.

Let me ask you though, what is, to you, 'doing something' in the house?

Is it having a showmance? Is it arguing? Is it being misarable or making others miserable? Is it being given a 'narrative' by the BB edit suite? Is it being a general ****?

While I get the viles are fun to watch, what kind of person do you want to actually win this show?

This is a great post, concise and well put. :D

I like Alex for the reasons I have bolded above. She is very sweet and sincere, quite a loveable character. She is also actually quite pretty, I saw a pic of her on here in the first week without all the makeup and she looked lovely. Would much rather see her win than any of Jay, Anton, Louise, Aden and Jem.

Alex, Faye, Aaron or Harry to win! Wouldn't mind Tom in the final, he is ok.

bblover2 11-10-2011 12:46 PM

i like alex and want her to win morale views in which has talked about with loiuse her sense of humour and her bubbly nature.which makes here my favourite to win it.everyone is going to like different people in the house and thats fine.theres people we like people we dislike and people we want to win.its all about the person you are and what you want from the housemate.it would be boring putting everyone in the house the same and it would be boring if everyone outside the house was the same there would be no forums

James 11-10-2011 12:52 PM

Alex: classic middle-of-the-road housemate, doesn't upset the Aaron fans; doesn't upset the Jay fans.

I don't really want her to win because I'm not a big fan of 'happyland' / in-a-bubble housemates. Why? I think mainly because (other) housemates generally get unwarranted criticism for what is often normal adult-behaviour.

I agree with Kate here, Vesuvius has offered the best 'manifesto' for Alex so far in the thread imo

It did cross my mind when I typed that some people might think of the forum member. :D

Maybe I should have said 'Happy house'.

I disagree with you.If by dumb you mean stupid,i believe she is reasonably intelligent, but for all we get to see of her it could come across as such.

Secondly,i dont know if she has lost weight round her face or something, but in the latest task clip she looks quite cute (i would never have said she was ugly in the first place anyway).

tweetypiebabe1 11-10-2011 01:26 PM

Faye's been a better housemate in terms of entertainment value. At the moment, while Alex has some amazing blonde moments and great task participation, there's really nothing that she doesn't get as much airtime and I think that's why a lot of people still don't get her really.

Whatever it is though, the housemates like her enough not to nominate her as it's now week 5 I believe and she's received the least noms of all the current housemates. I would love her in the final but to be honest, I'm not entirely sure if I would want her to win just yet.

Ammi 11-10-2011 03:02 PM

..she doesn't drink..that is unusual for a girl of her age
..she's not afraid to have the p*ss taken out of her and even goes along with people doing it...that's refreshing
..She isn't interested in flirting, showmance...unusual for a young female in the BB house..
..Haven't seen any bitching behind H.M's back, confrontations, or strops...all good...

....other housemates are getting criticised for 'normal adult behaviour'....well if it's normal aren't they the classic middle of the road ones....Alex is criticised for being 'predictable..' yet BB female housemates predictably behave differently from Alex.....

..The spray tan task was BB at it's best...not because of the task...because of Alex's reaction to the task....they've all had the opportunity to do the same...but they'd rather rely on the showmances, the booze, the arguments.....predictable.. boring

i only joined this site on sunday i liked alex but wasnt to bothered who won as long as it wasnt wolfpack but when people who like others come on and find it hard to work out why you like that person instead of who she likes.i find uncalled for and off putting to support who she thinks we should be supporting we all have different views please except that

Very interesting and informative perspective from a new member.
