Janeway was so sassy

I liked a lot about DS9, but Sisko is not one of them. I think he was by far the weakest thing about DS9. If we are talking strickly about Captains, Janeway eats Sisko for breakfast. The fact that he even came to think of himself as a spiritual leader by the end of the series, to me that just goes against everything Star Trek is meant to be about.

I hated DS9 for trying to make religion seem like it had some basis in reality. Voyager was all about exploring the Universe scientifically, that's real Star Trek. DS9 was some weird religion/morality story and science was left in the dust. DS9 was not in the true spirit of Trek imo. Voyager was absolutely in the true spirit of exploration.

I liked the changelings story line and the dominion war. But the Bajoran Gods and all the stuff with the Gods in the wormhole ruined it.

I really just wanted Q to show up and be like "you call those Gods??" lol that would have been great.

I liked Deep Space Nine because it was trying to do something different. Plus it reminds me a bit of the greatest science fiction show of all time, Babylon 5. Plus Garak is the best character in the Star Trek Franchise

My least favorite Star Trek was Next Generation. It represents everything I dislike about science fiction. Militarism and all that. Plus every single on NG was unlikeable.

Data wasn't unlikable!! who doesn't like Data??

everyone loves Data, come on now.

And you said you liked DS9 so you must have at least some soft spot for Worf...

I really disliked Dax though. I can't even tell you how much i disliked that charachter.

When people go on about how much they hate Wesley Crusher, or Neelix, or Quark, i'm like really?? Dax was sooo much worse. The concept of the character was really cool, but the way they executed it, Dax just sucked.

Roy Mars III 12-03-2013 06:25 PM

Data was godawful.

oh you're heartless. Data was amazing because it was fascinating seeing someone trying to learn about and appreciate human beings. The same reason 7of9 was great. It was interesting and fun seeing them really wanting to understand humanity, even though it seemed so strange and crazy to them. I liked those characters cause they made us laugh at ourselves and our own idiosyncratic nature as humans.

how could you not love that? They had the sensibilities and intelligence of an adult, but the emotional intelligence of children. That's what made them great characters.

WHAT?!

Picard, Riker, Data, Geordie, Worf.....UNLIKEABLE?! WHAT?!

http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m0...p8qwo1_400.gif

And I'd say DS9 was much more based around militarism, with the Dominion war and everything, the only time TNG ever went near the war topic was when they had those few Cardassian/Bajoran storylines in the last few seasons (which were only there because of DS9)

TOS was boring to me because the crew never really seemed all that close in the series, there was no development. The TOS movies were generally a lot better though.

Picard out.

i don't want to gang up, but YES, THIS^

Roy Mars III 12-03-2013 10:37 PM

Picard - I have always and will always consider Picard the most overrated thing about Star Trek. He made me cringe at least once an episode. He had nothing on the much superior Kirk.

Riker- Okay, fair enough, I actually did kinda like him

Data- Interesting concept, fair enough. But he was super annoying. And just a copy of Spock who already did the whole 'human' thing.

Geordie- Love LeVar Burton. Geordie did nothing for me though. Alright character, but nothing special.

Worf- Didn't really hate him, but never found him interesting.

I could just never get to like TNG. Maybe unlikeable was the wrong word. I just found everyone so boring. In the OS, you had Spock who was always the logical, and McCoy who was always emotional and Kirk who was somewhat inbetween. Shatner just brought so more charisma to Kirk, that you couldnt help but love him. I just liked those characters so much more.

Also you have Deep Space Nine where someone like Garak is a complex character who is only looking out for his self. All the characters had to changed over seasons. It was characters over plot.

I had a better reply to this, but I accidentally went off the page so this will have to do.

I know its a bit late but DS9 >

Joelle. 18-04-2013 02:09 AM

John Harrison is a blatant attempt to cover up who Cumberbatch is actually playing. It must be Khan surely? :conf:

Either way he's going to steal the film.
