I don't want to take over someone else's great idea, but I want this to happen, it's great fun. Judas where are you? :bawling: I am going to be an interfering bitch and put Josy on the list :D

Josy can we have it stickied, and would someone please post something for Day 1? :xyxwave:

Suze 01-12-2011 10:59 AM

Maybe a mod can email Judas, he/she could have just forgotten? Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt here :D :) Otherwise I nominate Kate, Kate you are so good at organising this type of thing, I'm sure you will have no trouble getting those last few advent places filled :)

Kate! 01-12-2011 11:43 AM

Ok, at the risk of being hated by Judas I shall post a nice xmas poem I found for day one of Advent.

Happy December everyone :)

Singing carols, hanging tinsel, making footprints in the snow,
Memories, Christmas memories, they're the sweetest ones I know.
Cookies baking in the kitchen, cards and ribbons everywhere,
Memories, Christmas memories, float like snowflakes in the air.
Oh the joy of waking Christmas mornings, the family round the tree,
We had a way of making Christmas morning as merry as can be,
I close my eyes and see shining faces
Of all the children who now have children of their own
Funny, but comes December, and I remember every Christmas I've known

Judas 01-12-2011 12:40 PM

Sorry everyone, I was out last night and just got home from lectures :)

My first gift is... the gift of nostalgia

First, here is a random film that I always used to watch when I was growing up on CBBC near christmas. It proberly won't be as much to members over 28 or under 16 but it is something I always remembered, but could never actually remember the name of. It has a lovely little irish duck in it aswell, so you have to love it just for that.

My second gift takes us back to exactally one year ago today. It's a really nice audio slideshow by BBC News on the snow that was covering the country a year ago now. It has some lovely pictures and audio... and it's just pure nostalgia.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11900122

Finally, a christmas song now we can all enjoy them without the bad luck...

Smithy 01-12-2011 12:42 PM

wtf I can't get store credit with nostalgia

Kate! 01-12-2011 01:25 PM

Thanks Judas. Day 1 is lovely :)

Marc 01-12-2011 02:34 PM

:suspect:

Judas 01-12-2011 06:05 PM

Added Nathan and Novo, and sorry Lee, I have changed you to the 6th - is that ok?

Benjamin 02-12-2011 11:56 AM

Where is Sam? :suspect:

Suze 02-12-2011 03:20 PM

Where's today's then?

Sam:) 02-12-2011 03:46 PM

Sorry Im posting was late I had school.
So my gift is an advert that airs every year. Every time I see it I feel Christmassy.

My second gift is a long-forgotten soundtrack to A Christmas Carole. I used to love this song and I was trying to find it today. Not exactly a christmas song but it was released at Christmas.
